## Current checkpoint and work
**Advanced Emperor auction funding — 29 October. Prototyped / Partial.**
New ordinary and Richese auction invoices route the Emperor's direct allied
contribution to the bank under the supplied Advanced source, while direct gifts
remain buyer-owned and Basic keeps its existing payment rule. Pair and staged
classic group bids, Richese lots and selected payment effects have focused
coverage: nine changed-path files pass 69 cases, and the two related paired
Bureaucrat files pass 102 cases after updating their expectations. Typecheck,
lint and build pass.
An additional five-file legacy payment run exposed 56 failures at the previous
commit and 58 here: 55 failure names overlap, one Charity fixture failure varied
between runs, and the two new outdated expectations were corrected afterward.
Homeworld fixture repair and a clean broader run remain open. Current-turn negative bribe answers also permit group funding without
releasing the answer, and group members are excluded from bribe recipient
controls. Full group games and broader module interactions remain open.

## Betrayal and remaining decisions
Normal Emperor-funded auction help goes to the ally and is paid back to Emperor, according to November's FAQ. Therefore forcing its contribution cannot automatically be implemented as transferring its spice to the bank. Bind the actual allied purchase and its original price/contributions. [November FAQ, p.2](https://www.gf9games.com/dune/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/Dune-FAQ-Nov-2020.pdf#page=2)
The earlier Basic interpretation sends normal Emperor-funded auction help to
the ally and back to Emperor, following [November FAQ, p.2](https://www.gf9games.com/dune/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/Dune-FAQ-Nov-2020.pdf#page=2).
The Advanced source cutover below changes the recipient of a contribution;
bind the actual allied purchase and its original price and payer shares.
### Advanced Emperor contribution recipient — 29 October 2026
The user-authorized supplied revised rulebook, physical p. 15 (printed p. 13),
Bidding, directs Emperor's contribution to an ally's Treachery Card purchase
to the Spice Bank. An amount transferred directly using Emperor's alliance
ability is instead the buyer's own spice and follows the purchase's normal
recipient. This is an Advanced source cutover; Basic retains the earlier
interpretation above. Ordinary and Richese paid-lot prototypes preserve the
actual payer and recipient legs through settlement. For example, if an ally
buys an ordinary card for six with two contributed by Emperor, four goes to
Emperor and two to the bank. Income cancellation can affect only the eligible
Emperor income, not return or replay the bank contribution. This implementation
is partial and does not certify Nexus purchase variants, all optional-module
interactions or full Advanced play.

The later staged Advanced group path also retains each donor's original

### Emperor contribution to a Richese lot — 29 October 2026
The authorized supplied revised rulebook, physical p. 15 (printed p. 13),
Bidding, sends Emperor's contribution to an ally's Treachery Card purchase to
the Spice Bank. A direct Emperor alliance gift becomes the buyer's own spice
and follows the normal purchase recipient. This Advanced cutover also applies
to the connected Richese cache and Black Market sale prototypes: the seller
receives the buyer-funded portion, while Emperor's contributed portion goes to
the bank. If Richese buys or retains its own lot, only the buyer-funded portion
goes to Emperor; the contributed portion goes to the bank. Basic retains its
earlier payment policy. The original price, donor amounts, and each payment
destination remain attached to the pending sale rather than reconstructed from
later balances. Broader optional-module combinations and complete Richese play
remain unverified.
## Printed rules, by checkpoint
The source anchor is R2 pp.4–6,10–12: ten cache cards stay outside the hand; one revealed cache lot replaces a normal lot and is declared first or last before Ixian preparation. It uses Once Around or Silent. Other buyers pay Richese; Richese pays Emperor/bank. Discards enter normal discard. Ordinary Karama acquisition is barred. Once Around gives each other faction one ascending bid/pass in a chosen direction, then Richese's final opportunity. Silent reveals eligible bidders' simultaneous offers, including zero, with storm-order ties. A zero result permits cache keep/remove. Advanced Black Market offers one concealed hand card before Declaration, permits all three methods, allows Atreides inspection and unverified sales claims, pays Richese, and shrinks the normal pool only after a sale; no bid means retain. Direct-cache purchases cannot use Ixian allied replacement; Black Market purchases can, even for Richese-family cards. Harkonnen bonus applies to both. Juice of Sapho works in Once Around. Cancellation prevents cache auction at round start or Black Market sale. The special power buys a privately chosen cache card for three spice.
