Truthtrance ordinary bribe-payment promises

26 October timing follow-up: Mentat bribes extend the current-turn window through phase8. Yes must finish before Mentat Ready; No remains live across opening collection until the actual next turn. Late receipts wait for the next opening. This supersedes the historical Collection deadline and Mentat exclusion below, without reopening already terminal old answers.

Funded current-turn prototype — 26 October 2026

Prototyped / Partial. Bind cumulative future ordinary spice payments to one named non-allied recipient during this turn. Registered bare native Basic and Advanced tables use their bribe window in phases0–8. This adds no start permission and does not certify complete rules, all deals or optional modules. Future income, pledge withdrawal, card preparation and wider negotiated effects remain required work; the first answer witness uses currently spendable funds.

Authority and provisional composition

General current-turn question/compliance/impossibility authority is recorded in the November2020 FAQp8 source audit and the ordinary-bid contract. The authorized Advanced source physical39 replacement Truthtrance text was read for the prior slices. For this slice, physical16 BRIBERY and physical29 Inflation were read: non-allied payment and deferred collection at Mentat remain; Double prohibits spice bribes. The local supplied source remains bound by the authority amendment.

Under standing14October choose-recommended priority, explicitly ask about cumulative future ordinary payer payments to one named recipient. Only real accepted bribe payments after the answer count. Smaller payments add together. Prior payments, Emperor gifts, allied aid and unrelated payments do not count. Yes requires the matching minimum while possible. No keeps the entire later matching total below that minimum. Same-recipient Yes deficits overlap; distinct recipient Yes deficits reserve separate spice. Several answers must fit one real purse and every No cap.

This current-funding/cumulative/recipient and accepted-order release model is provisional software composition, not a dedicated publisher bribe-specific Truthtrance ruling. The inherited software Mentat ban has been removed by the linked timing follow-up; it was not a supplied physical16 restriction. No can be fixed while Inflation shows Double; Yes needs a legal funded payment. Wider timing/source reconciliation remains part of complete rules acceptance.

Connected mechanics and controls

The question packet is {kind:'bribe',target,turn,recipient,minimum} within the original truthAsk; minimum is a positive safe integer. A real definite answer retains the original declaration, priority, public reply, one physical discard and interrupted phase continuation. A distinct event starts progress0. Public text names the recipient. Only the respondent receives feasible answer choices, its own promise records and its own next ordinary-payment guide.

The original native bribe action owns payer debit and the original deferred recipient receipt. The promise records payer progress once; Mentat collection does not pay or fulfill it again. Current unpaid bids and sealed battle support stay reserved. Private compatibility quotations complete their own planned payments before checking earlier battle, bid, revival, shipment and movement obligations, without creating live receipts or spendable recipient cash. An earlier bribe Yes also constrains a later supported typed answer.

The persistent panel shows named cumulative progress and fulfilled/released status. Its guarded native bribe callback may act out of turn in a quiet legal window. Current ordinary payment limits enforce each No cap and preserve funds for other Yes answers; no separate legality calculation is installed in the UI. Stale, wrong-owner or modified guided packets reject. Existing four minimal AI profiles use feasible answers and the exact native guide. Strategy and difficulty calibration remain deferred.

Own voluntary spending or an alliance offer to the unpaid named recipient cannot evade Yes. Mentat Ready requires its payment; a new Mentat Yes reopens only that respondent's readiness. Collection readiness stays intact except before a known automatic Double closure. Pending consequences finish before forced release; known own spending retains the promised current funds. Completed opposing impossibility releases only incompatible Yes answers in accepted order. No ends at the original turn boundary and never binds the next turn.

Evidence and remaining gates

The following first-slice evidence predates the linked timing cutover; its Collection deadline/reopening assertions are superseded by the Mentat follow-up.

Pure model, original-deal/payment/deferred-collection and controlled/native UI cases live in tests/bribe-promises.test.ts, tests/fixture-truth-bribe.ts, tests/truth-bribe-runtime.test.ts and tests/truth-bribe-controls.test.tsx. Affected feedback also repaired an inherited preparation-extraction regression: a real phase5 Shipment/Movement quotation now bypasses future Revival/Movement resets and retains its already active Karama rate and original allowances. The existing active-Karama/ally-escrow cases exercise that boundary. Frozen v2 proof passes 15files/171cases, npm run check:quick and npm run build. Five native paths produce21 GameTable SSR renders and exercise five actual hook-free payment callbacks. Original H/A/E Basic20/Advanced23 prefixes add21 steps: E pays3 from10 out of turn while H owns the bid turn, H cash stays unchanged, and real Mentat credits3. Advanced Collection2 remains separate. Four minimal policies per source submit legal payments; all33 cards remain.

A20+23 No3 path pays1+1, rejects crossing3, credits2 and permits3 after the real next-turn expiry. A29+12 Collection source retains the Ready deadline. An Advanced23+24 two-original-Truth path reserves/pays H3/A2 from one purse, then credits each exact recipient. Nineteen native,10pure and6control cases also cover prior/recipient isolation, two-card constraints, current and future funding, exact events and real already-ready Collection reopening. Detached accepted-bid quotes fulfill their own planned declaration before nested bribe reconciliation; actual bid fulfillment remains at native acceptance. No native alliance/aid history is claimed from these sources; controlled projections are labelled.
