Basic marked Homeworld games now use the existing provisional current-sole-controller policy for Tupile slots. Observed eligible intervals retain one original activation across turns, close on departure/foreign contest/native high, and create a fresh source on restoration even when same-turn qualification rows deduplicate. Preserve original valid source histories and the lease format. Advanced retains its authorized last-departure rule. Original normal-limit cleanup remains binding before a returning holder can reuse a slot. Native low intelligence becomes available after Basic loss subject to actual population/contact, without clearing historical answers or lifetime faction usage. Existing owner-only cleanup controls and minimal policies use the native event and exact held cards. Persistent table and cleanup text explain the provisional policy. No new profile, state version or module opening. Validation and exact frozen-source evidence are recorded in the canonical Tupile runtime contract. Two original public Basic programmes use actual setup, three paid normal lots, earned Guild shipment income, a paid invasion and native battle, one continuous slot, optional real fifth purchase, paid last departure and zero/one normal-limit cleanup. All four minimal profiles submit legal held-card choices and finish the turn. Controlled interval/reactivation, allied cleanup and intelligence probes remain separate. No broad save/recovery campaign or strategy tuning. This is a first-version application interpretation under the standing recommended-choice direction; publisher Basic lifecycle clarification, full module/mode acceptance, final assurance and browser/deployed proof remain open. No saved-room/database/reset/restart/deployment operation.

Homeworld occupation: qualification and unresolved entitlement
Runtime follow-up, 10 September 2026: Tupile intelligence and qualification history implement confirmed observations while retaining the unresolved entitlement and expiry questions below. The source audit remains historical evidence.
The 24 October Tupile follow-up extends the provisional Basic policy below to occupied Tupile slots and their normal-limit cleanup, superseding its historical conservative consumer exception. Advanced retains its distinct authorized retention rule. The publisher question remains explicit; this is usable provisional behavior under the standing recommended-choice instruction, not newly located source authority.
Basic current-sole benefit policy — 9 October 2026
The content-first pass replaces Basic's blanket lifecycle block with an explicit, visibly provisional policy. Basic current-sole control: the one foreign faction physically present at the world controls the printed occupied benefit, and that entitlement ends immediately on departure, contested foreign presence or native repopulation past the card's high threshold. A recorded source observation is still required; a physical write without its semantic observation grants nothing, and no qualification is fabricated.
Only the Basic benefit selector changes. Occupied bank/percentage income, Caladan/Ix/Richese/Giedi Bidding authority and the printed defenses all read the same quote, so they now follow the current sole controller instead of reporting an unresolved lifecycle. Frozen pending receipts keep their original entitlement and still refuse to follow a changed controller, recipient or recipient alliance; a departed-then-returned qualifier resumes the same observed source rather than inventing a new epoch.
Basic Tupile slot leasing deliberately keeps the conservative original-epoch gate documented below: it reports an explicit unresolved reason for competing, repopulated or expired entries instead of silently moving or settling a hand-limit grant. That is a scoped consumer choice, not a claim that the publisher settled Tupile turnover.
This is a first-version implementation policy, not a numerical user ruling, a publisher clarification or a located GF9 erratum. The publisher question about retention after departure, unique-effect composition and low/high population interactions stays recorded in the source audit below.
Native Basic/Advanced smoke evidence: three occupied-income cases (departure and return, contest and clear, native repopulation), the cross-mode Bidding authority matrix, native repopulation and contest Ecaz-victory cases, percentage departure/return and freeze guards, and the conservative Basic Tupile suite all pass in the related 738-case Homeworld union. The only test changed for an unrelated reason is the Richese compulsory-cache cancellation contract, which was already stale against the implemented 7 October exhausted-cache ruling.
Occupied economics, Bidding and Advanced source cutover — 5 October 2026
The supplied UNOFFICIAL_Revised_Dune_Rulebook_v.2.3_web.pdf, physical
page22, is authorized for Advanced. Its occupation clause replaces the
publisher boundary qualification with sole foreign presence, then retains
that occupier’s advantages until none of its forces remain. This is the
supplied revision’s rule, not a newly located GF9 erratum or a Basic ruling.
An intervening foreign army, a later turn or native high population does not
expire that retained Advanced source. Departure clears it; a later sole arrival
creates a new epoch. Original ordered semantic snapshots prove these transitions;
turn-boundary foreign presence alongside natives cannot invent Advanced
qualification. Unobserved physical writes and missing history cannot mint an
entitlement. Basic retains the historical pending guards below.
The same fresh homeworld-occupation entry connects these original producers:
| Printed source | Original consumer and ownership |
|---|---|
| Kaitain | Eligible paid Treachery receipt: native rounded-up half, occupied rounded-down half; buyer payment occurs once. |
| Junction | Eligible other-player shipping receipt after original Guild-funded exclusions and routing; the 14 October user ruling rounds the whole invoice once and admits two odd contributors. |
| Richese income | Rounded-down half of actual seller net received, not the gross sale or contribution routed to Emperor. |
| Southern Hemisphere | One completed actual native Collection aggregate, including settled shared and occupied-bank credits; round once and redistribute the already credited amount. |
| Caladan | Native and occupier inspect the original admitted lot, never the occupier’s ally. Canceling native inspection hides its face from native while the separately admitted printed share survives. |
| Ix | One controller chooses from the actual original pool; native setup and Technology remain native, without duplicate native pool knowledge. |
| Richese cache choice | Original seller chooses auction method/direction first; occupier chooses only the physical cache card. Seller, lot, invoice and unbid disposition stay native. |
| Giedi Prime | One original Harkonnen purchase bonus goes to occupier or reciprocal ally with actual receiver capacity and drawable stock, even if the buyer’s purchase filled its own hand. |
Percentage income has a separate persisted source ledger, frozen eligible payment/Collection proof and exact suspended continuation. Keep-all or immediate ally allocation commits actual credits with its settled receipt, not a second payer debit or static Bank icon grant. Ordinary native income cancellation leaves its native portion in the Bank; the printed occupied portion remains separate. This cancellation composition uses the printed Homeworld immunity and original ordinary cancellation rules, not a dedicated retrieved worked FAQ. Richese’s existing source-blocked canceled-auction count remains guarded: occupied card selection is not authority to invent a sale after cancellation.
Actual Collection percentage credits feed the original once-per-phase Giedi spice hook. Private producer proofs and suspended invoices stay server-private. Original receipt-free occupation captures may admit a new source lazily; no past percentage is back-awarded. A separate fresh marker now connects occupied Tupile slots/cleanup and low-query restoration. Public starts, played-game conversion, other modules and exceptional Duke custody remain separate.
Fresh classic occupation now accepts explicit Leader Skills through
--profile homeworld-occupation --leader-skills. Original all14 setup and
occupation-ledger custody remain; other optional modules and expansions are
not added by this composition. The user-ruled Bureaucrat diversion is gross-first:
an original paid8 remains8 in payer evidence, but two goes to Bank before the
remaining6 splits3 native/3 occupied. Native Karama cancellation still leaves
the occupied portion; a canceled receipt never spends Bureaucrat.
See actual receipt evidence.

Original runtime and human evidence
Final 247 affected cases in24 files, types/lint and build pass. Actual programs retain original physical cards, paid invoices, typed forces, private lots, native terms and JSON continuations; all four policies take legal source choices. Controlled capacity/counter positions are labelled and conserved, including original Karama already dealt during random setup.
Two real consumer defects were reproduced and repaired. Invalid bonus recipients
now use the ordinary RuleError adapter; an actual authenticated request returns
409 without changing the room version. Guild income could overwrite a concurrent
BG accompaniment choice. The signed source suffix now retains it through the
percentage choice and JSON; the original-snapshot smoke and native regression
complete the subsequent actual advisor placement, not merely a copied decision.

The19 rejected candidates remain recorded, including existing arrival guards.
Three original backed-up CLI setups preserve the real actors, decks and starting choices: HH7VHT2U v21, 4H5CZDMA v18 and 6K5JFNPH v18. Real second-turn Nexus actions earn the alliances before labelled conserved positions. Refreshed390px controls have no root overflow:
- HH7VHT2U pays Harkonnen5 once: Emperor10→13, Guild6→7 and Harkonnen12→8 after the1/1 Kaitain share. Harkonnen’s actual hand fills8; Atreides chooses its ally Fremen for the one real bonus, whose hand1→2.
- Its actual three-normal-force Kaitain shipment costs6: Emperor11→5, Guild7→10, Atreides12→13 and Fremen3→5 after the1/2 Junction share. The restored BG control sends its actual advisor into Hagga Basin afterward.
- Original Collection has Fremen5 plus two actually shared2-spice bank grants: total9, retained5, occupied4 allocated Guild1/Harkonnen3. v72/Mentat ends with Emperor5/Guild17/Harkonnen11/Fremen10/Atreides13/BG9. The five bank receipts and percentage settle once before original readiness.
- 4H5CZDMA’s native seller chooses Once Around/counterclockwise; Guild chooses only original Ornithopter. The actual5-spice Harkonnen purchase splits Richese net as native3/occupied2, then Guild1/Harkonnen1: balances4→7/5→6/10→6. A single real bonus reaches Atreides; v29 preserves the next native lot.
- 6K5JFNPH’s Guild alone sees the actual six-card Ix pool and returns original Snooper to the top. v25 retains five auction cards/five Guild-known faces, native Ix-known0 and its unrelated Technology decision still owned by Ix.
Only dedicated QA records changed; no game reset, public activation or credential disclosure. Reports/private receipts remain outside Git. These local receipts do not certify full Homeworlds, deferred assurance or deployed acceptance.
Stable continuous occupation prototype — 5 October 2026
Historical checkpoint 5e902e3; its narrower Advanced lifecycle and absent
percentage/Bidding paths are superseded by the source cutover above.
The fresh local homeworld-occupation entry uses original two-through-six-seat
Basic/Advanced setup, selected faction decks, thirteen physical card facts and
the original qualification history. It never converts a played Homeworld save
or infers entitlement from a current garrison. One original qualifier must
remain continuously present since qualification, without another foreign army,
another qualifier, departure or restored native high threshold. All unresolved
histories retain the existing source guards; this is a supported unambiguous
subset, not an expiry/replacement ruling.
Printed occupied bank icons now enter one Collection queue before ordinary Collection mutates balances. After original board/shared allocations and phase opening, each occupier may keep the award or immediately allocate a portion to its current reciprocal ally. Zero-icon/no-ally rows settle their only legal allocation automatically. Actual bank credits and the cursor/receipt commit together; reading a view or replaying an old command cannot mint spice. The bank queue does not implement Kaitain/Junction/Richese percentage receipts. The original Giedi hook counts actual allocated Homeworld credits once, rather than printed capacity; applying that hook to an immediately shared bank portion is explicit source composition, not a newly retrieved worked FAQ.
The same proved entitlement supplies Wallach IX Voice immunity, Tleilax Face Dancer exclusions, Grumman reveal immunity and occupied Salusa suppression. Both occupier and current reciprocal ally receive the three targeted protections. Sardaukar keep their original starred identity/custody but fight at strength one; no Karama opportunity can restore the printed occupied penalty. Known Voice immunity skips that declaration; ambiguous Voice permits only a source-blocked choice/decline. Ambiguous Terror keeps an owned blocked Reveal/ Decline window, rather than silently authorizing revelation or guessing an owner.
Twenty-four original three-seat setup programs,21 new/262 affected cases, types/lint and build pass. Actual original-phase runtime proves partial bank allocation (owner1/ally1 plus one high-Giedi2), immutable replay rejection and four legal keep-all policies. The original captured decision is retained through the generic dispatcher; the reproduced clearing error is fixed. Native programs exercise real protected battles, two actual strength-one starred counters, an original matching Face Dancer with labelled conserved unused-deck exchange, and real first-Mentat Robbery placement followed by paid second-Movement three-force occupier entry without token revelation.
Fifty genuine classic/paired E1/E2/standalone E3 games were attempted on

Thirty-seven complete11,762 accepted actions/300 JSON continuations; those
complete samples include153 rejected candidates, so this is not a zero-rejection
or complete-mode certificate. All50 contain19,080 accepted/19,283 attempted
actions and491 JSON continuations. Thirteen captures retain the actual blockers.
Two were a source-clear bug: zero-icon Salusa needlessly blocked unrelated bank
Collection. Quantity-zero ambiguity now grants nothing without choosing a
recipient, while its mandatory combat-strength guard remains. A meaningful
regression preserves a real Kaitain2 grant and the unresolved Salusa penalty.
The two original snapshots finish7/14 more accepted actions without rejection

Resume restarts that seed, not the lost pre-capture random stream.
Thirty-nine of the original50 now finish; nine occupation/departure/competition/
repopulation or Salusa-combat captures and two low-Tupile CHOAM captures remain
at their existing pending rulings. No duplicate question, favorable new seed,
forced outcome or guard bypass.
Original backed-up CLI CPBXKFGD v14/setup preserves actual prediction/ Traitor/card/actor custody. A real second-turn worm/Nexus earns Guild/Harkonnen alliance before labelled conserved positions. Human390px v21/Mentat settles Caladan2 as Guild1/Harkonnen1, then Wallach1 wholly to Harkonnen, with one Giedi2: Guild3→4, Harkonnen8→12. Queue/world/event continue once; original phase-ready actions reach Mentat. Refreshed source cards/notice/force inspector show Guild18 native reserves/0 Tanks/one visitor on each world, with no root390px overflow. Only this QA room changed. An early driver staging error was corrected by settling the original foresight response first; no Caladan rule was changed. Private receipts/reports stay outside Git; owned throwaway scripts were removed.
See runtime bank regression, income cases and native defense cases. The historical pending questions below, percentage/borrowed occupied powers, full-module assurance, public starts and deployed acceptance remain open.
Source audit, 9 September 2026. This supplements Homeworld rules and the invasion audit. It defines the evidence that can safely be recorded; it does not settle every occupied benefit or authorize a complete occupation release. The integration audit maps the physical mutation and recovery boundaries.
Confirmed publisher contract
The E3 rulebook establishes these distinct rules:
- Foreign forces at the start or end of a game turn qualify their faction as an Occupier. Sole foreign occupation at any instant qualifies immediately for that turn.
- High advantages follow the native reserve threshold. Occupation retains the native low penalty; no global sentence explicitly suppresses a restored high advantage or replaces its battle value.
- The printed occupied bank award occurs during Spice Collection, including Basic. Occupation income may immediately be shared with the occupier's ally.
- Homeworld effects cannot be canceled with Karama.
These are separate conditions, rather than three mutually exclusive card states. GF9 E3, pp.9–10.
The Kaitain FAQ divides a five-spice purchase into Emperor three and occupier two, including an occupier's own purchase. It does not demonstrate multiple contributors or resolve competing recipients. GF9 E3, p.15.
Here a game turn is the complete nine-phase sequence, Storm through Mentat Pause; an individual player's shipment/movement opportunity is not this boundary. GF9 base rules, p.7.
Executable evidence contract
The following is an implementation design derived from those timing requirements, not an additional rule about who receives a disputed reward:
- Keep native population, present foreign armies and historical qualification evidence separate. Include the exact Homeworld ID: Emperor's two worlds are distinct locations.
- After a completed semantic force change, record a sole-occupation event when exactly one foreign faction has forces and no other faction has forces there. A single foreign faction sharing the world with natives is not alone. Do not require an Arrakis stronghold or treat Homeworlds as territories.
- Observe the old turn's end before incrementing the turn; observe the new turn's start before opening Storm opportunities. At a boundary, preserve every foreign presence relevant to the printed qualification sentence. If multiple factions satisfy the sentence, storing their evidence does not authorize duplicate rewards.
- Bind each observation to its accepted event, turn, world, qualifying faction and cause (
sole, turnStart, turnEnd). Make observation replay idempotent. Keep historical facts after departure; a future entitlement policy can expire a benefit without erasing that the qualification happened. - Observe semantic casualty groups rather than intermediate array writes. A separately ordered loser removal can make a foreign winner alone before its own casualties; simultaneous destruction must not manufacture a survivor from implementation order. See the integration audit for the existing battle continuation boundaries.
- Use a separate once-only Collection receipt for any awarded bank income and its immediate ally allocation. Qualification, refresh, view projection and JSON normalization must not themselves mint spice. A later qualification is not an instruction to replay an earlier Collection.
A public qualification record needs no hand, Traitor, Face Dancer or sealed-plan data. Malformed initialized evidence must fail validation; a legacy save lacking history cannot be claimed to prove that no earlier qualifier existed. Resolving entitlement by scanning current armies alone would discard the distinction the publisher created.
Basic source questions and historical publisher gaps
| Concrete situation | Missing decision; do not silently substitute a policy |
|---|---|
| A qualifies alone, then departs completely | Whether all continuing benefits expire immediately or some survive for the stated game turn. |
| A departs and B becomes alone in the same turn | Whether A retains any entitlement, and which faction controls a unique occupied power or receives the next receipt. |
| B enters while qualified A remains | Whether A's remembered qualification continues to supply each benefit while contested. |
| Multiple foreigners remain at a turn boundary | How the qualification wording composes with a unique card choice, Duke custody or a single income stream. Storm order is not an established automatic tie-break here. |
| Native revival restores the high threshold after qualification | How retained low penalties and occupied benefits expire; occupation alone supplies no explicit global high-benefit suppression. Do not infer low charity/revival bonuses or a low native battle value merely from a remembered qualifier. |
| A leaves and returns during the same turn | Whether departure interrupts a specific benefit and triggers its cleanup. Recording a second arrival must not itself create a second Collection award. |
Tupile's verified physical reverse explicitly requires hand-limit cleanup when occupation ceases and removes native CHOAM's low advantage. That specific endpoint must be implemented once its triggering occupation condition is determined; it does not establish a universal expiry policy for every card. Original component provenance and the separate occupied income symbols are recorded in the component audit. This audit did not re-fetch the old reverse-image cache.
The sharing sentence covers occupation income broadly. A bank-only implementation should not silently exclude later occupied percentage receipts; their funding identity and legal beneficiary must first be resolved. An alliance prohibition arising from physically invading a prospective ally is separately grounded in actual presence, rather than in an invented single controller shared by every consumer.
Fresh research and implementation boundary
The current publisher-indexed E3 Homeworld text was retrieved again. The previously examined E3 FAQ supplies the Kaitain arithmetic but no complete departure/replacement algorithm. Bounded searches of GF9, Future Pastimes and designer-name results found no authenticated further ruling. The designer's expansion page links Homeworlds Revealed; no usable spoken transcript was retrieved. Earlier component-frame inspection is not evidence for an unheard spoken clarification. A community compilation's replacement of the publisher's boundary clause with an unopposed-only definition is not an official erratum. Search absence does not prove that no clarification exists.
The existing source documents already record these unresolved cases. During this audit the coordinating agent sent the user this concrete clarification, and the answer is pending: If Guild occupies an empty Homeworld, then withdraws its last force and another faction occupies it during the same game turn, who keeps that Homeworld's occupied ability and income—the first faction, the current occupier, or both? None of these alternatives is presented here as the official answer. Do not send a duplicate question or treat elapsed time as an answer.
Progress can continue independently on population-only low Kaitain/Junction income reductions, retaining the contributor routing contract. Rounding once over an eligible transaction total and evaluating a continuous threshold when income actually settles are reasoned compositions, not explicit worked publisher examples for allied funding or Ghola-interrupted receipts. Preserve those distinctions and the already documented payment-splitting source gap. A unique current garrison is not sufficient evidence to discard an earlier faction's same-turn qualification.
This documentation-only audit changes no runtime, stored games, mode gates or publication status. Verification is limited to source/link review and the patch whitespace check.
