Junction transport offers

9 September 2026. Implementation contract for Junction's high-face transport advantage. This is a source audit, not certification of a completed transport module. It supplements the component audit, invasion rules, and transport source update.

Purchased price and immune offer — 15 October 2026

The accepted Junction source keeps its printed half/full tariff and normal payment recipients. An already purchased ordinary Karama price does not reprice that immune Homeworld advantage, stack into quarter price or impose its bank-only payment rule. The recipient may instead choose an independently legal ordinary purchased-price route.

Selected product composition, not a publisher worked example: accepting Junction with that separate grant active requires an explicit forfeitPurchasedRate: true acknowledgment. The controls explain that the price ends unused and its already played card is not refunded. Only actual delivery consumes the grant; an unfunded, rejected, stale or declined offer does not. Deferred Guild Betrayal retains it until the original shipment settles. Its fee remains the original immune offered fee.

The existing declaration identity binds the active grant as well as the original offer and opportunity. An older quote cannot acknowledge a later purchase. No extra shipment, permission counter or special-stop choice is created. This conservative source choice replaces the old purchased-price/ Junction composition gate, not the remaining complete-module gates. Connected engine, controls and scoped proof.

Evidence and precedence

Fresh publisher-indexed passages were retrieved from the GF9 E3 rulebook, pp.10 and 15, base rulebook, pp.9 and 19, November 2020 FAQ, pp.2 and 5, and E1 cancellation table, p.12. Direct publisher PDF opens returned HTTP 403. This review does not claim a new binary download or new visual inspection of the physical card: the previously inspected research images under /tmp/dune-rules are absent in the current environment.

Junction's physical face was previously checked through the sources recorded in the component audit. Its operative facts are: while high, Guild may offer other factions cross-planet shipment at half or full price, as part of their Shipping action, including travel to/from Homeworlds and their own world. Its printed high range is 5–20 native reserves. Guild is the offer owner; alliance status does not imply consent. The designer's E3 page still links its Homeworld explanatory material, but no fresh authenticated explanation of payment or special interception was obtained here. Player discussions and fan compilations were not adopted as rules authority.

Routes and counter custody

E3 permits own-world return through the Junction exception, retains the ban on allied-world destinations, and allows Emperor to combine both native origins for a shipment. Homeworlds have no territory geometry. Bene Gesserit cannot send advisors there. A paid Fremen invasion remains distinct from ordinary free southern reinforcement. Homeworld arrival activates Heighliner; retain E1's Guild exception. E3, pp.10 and 15, E1, p.5.

The following route matrix composes that exception with the face's express scope and the base meaning of cross-planet shipment:

Origin Destination Contract
One Arrakis territory Another Arrakis territory Cross-planet shipment; exact destination sector and ordinary entry rules.
One Arrakis territory Native or foreign Homeworld Explicit sponsored route, including a return to the shipper's own world.
One Homeworld Another Homeworld Exact current native/foreign custody; own-world return permitted by sponsor.
Foreign Homeworld Arrakis Explicit departure permission from Junction; visitors never become native reserves.
Native Homeworld Arrakis Ordinary reserve shipping already supplies permission. A sponsored route must keep its Junction provenance separate from ordinary personal/allied rates.

Do not use a synthetic Homeworld sector. Do not combine unrelated Arrakis territories or arbitrary foreign worlds into one origin. Multiple sectors of one territory remain one source; the Emperor's two-native-world exception is explicit. Board sources and destinations must obey storm and entry restrictions. Protected Hidden Mobile Stronghold interior custody does not inherit the pointer sector's storm exposure. Guild transport source contract.

For BG, source selection must distinguish actual fighters and advisors. An advisor cannot be silently converted into an invading fighter as a side effect of shipment. Any separately legal flip requires its own valid timing. The Fremen native Homeworld is Southern Hemisphere, not Sietch Tabr; a sponsored paid route does not become free merely because the owner is Fremen.

Tariff and payment

Treat the accepted offer as either half or full, never a general arbitrary discount. Use the ordinary destination tariff before the offer multiplier: Homeworld destination costs one spice per physical counter; Arrakis stronghold costs one, other territory two, with independently applicable special-location prices. Half-price totals round upward once. Five counters to a world therefore cost five at full or three at half. Elite counters are physical counters for shipment price. Do not stack an allied Guild discount onto a half-price Junction offer. E3, p.10, base, p.9, November FAQ, p.5.

Coordinating source composition: Junction supplies permission and tariff, but its inspected face supplies no separate payment-recipient instruction. Apply the base bank default. Guild's ordinary income exception covers another faction's off-planet native reserves arriving on Dune. It does not automatically collect fees for sponsored world destinations, foreign-garrison departures, or board-to-board cross-shipment. Sponsorship alone is not an income trigger. This resolves the previously recorded recipient gap by composing the existing general and specific rules; there is no official Junction worked example. Base, pp.9 and 19, quick-start payment rule, p.8.

The November FAQ independently sends a non-Guild ally's contribution directly to Guild when present and sends Guild-funded contributions to the bank. Preserve this previously adjudicated contributor contract, rather than routing every spice through one shipper-income rule. Incoming receipts cannot finance the same transaction. A five-spice world shipment funded by shipper three and non-Guild ally two thus sends three to bank and two to Guild before independently applicable Homeworld splits. The offer is not a direct spice gift or a bribe. November FAQ, p.2.

Karama and offer lifetime

E3 states: “Karama cards have no effect on Homeworld advantages or penalties.” The grant and offered rate therefore resist ordinary cancellation. Coordinating inference: Guild's special stop must also not prevent a shipment whose permission/rate comes from Junction; doing so would negate this Homeworld advantage. Do not create a special-stop choice for that declared route. This differs from a shipment using Guild's ordinary faction privilege. It does not make all unrelated faction powers during a sponsored arrival immune. E3, p.10, ordinary cancellation distinction.

The card authorizes use during the recipient's Shipping action; it grants no extra shipment and no extra movement. It prints no once-per-turn cap on Guild offers. An offer's UI storage and replacement policy are implementation mechanics, not additional faction powers. Bind any executable offer to the current recipient and unused shipping opportunity, revalidate Guild's high benefit and selected tariff before declaration, and expire stale grants when that opportunity ends. Do not preserve a reusable permission into later turns merely because a proposal was once accepted. Once shipment settlement has validly committed, a later threshold change must not reverse it.

Remaining evidence boundaries and verification obligations

No publisher example was found for a threshold change between an earlier conversational offer and its execution. Current-state revalidation avoids inventing a permanent grant; a future binding-deal implementation must preserve the documented ordinary deal rules. The existing broader occupation-lifecycle and ordinary Karama repricing questions remain open and are not resolved by this audit. The exact generic purchased-Karama card scope likewise remains in the source update.

Implementation evidence must cover sponsor ownership and consent; high/low revalidation; half/full odd totals; current-shipping expiry; board/world/native/foreign origins; own/ally destination rules; exact normal/elite/advisor custody; paid Fremen routes; source and destination storms; both donor identities; no circular funding; immunity without a spurious human stop; one arrival/technology receipt; unchanged rejected state; JSON restoration; and duplicate/concurrent acceptance. These are engineering acceptance requirements, not claims that the corresponding code currently passes.
