Rule decision index
Updated 1 October 2026. This is the authoritative navigation index for existing decisions, not a replacement rulebook or a new ruling. Detailed linked contracts retain their source citations and exact supported boundaries. Runtime follow-ups supersede historical absence claims; passing tests establish software behavior, not publisher authority.
Authorized source amendment — 1 October 2026
The user added UNOFFICIAL_Revised_Dune_Rulebook_v.2.3_web.pdf at the
checkout root and authorized it as a source of truth going forward.
Use this supplied revision for Advanced rules and clarifications, including
its explicitly identified unofficial rulings; the former publisher-only
restriction does not exclude this document. Preserve specific recorded user
decisions unless changed, and use printed components and GF9 material for
details the supplied revision does not cover. Record material differences
and their implementation cutovers explicitly rather than silently blending
editions or describing unofficial rulings as publisher rulings.
Source identity: 44 physical PDF pages; metadata title
UNOFFICIAL Revised Dune Rulebook v.2.3.pages; the visible editorial heading
on physical page 3 still says Version 2.2. Cite the supplied filename and
physical PDF page, not an assumed corrected heading.
SHA-256: 7077aa87a973221d86d4bd2da945b40c4dec3d371caa6a68cb209758ddf1e516.
The user-owned local PDF is preserved, not republished as an application asset.
The current Guild Betrayal wave was compared with shipment/payment rules (physical page 10), separate Guild Karama targets (19), Homeworld transport and occupation (22), Nexus lifecycle/modes (23), and native Guild tariffs and special stop (37). Those passages do not replace the specific printed Guild Nexus full-payment/own-payment/Junction override or supply a new response order; its bounded prepayment contract remains source-consistent. This is a source comparison, not runtime verification.
Advanced core cutover — 1 October 2026
The supplied revision now resolves two normal Advanced defaults, not a new opt-in profile or a publisher ruling:
- Storm Movement, physical PDF page 6: after the first turn, draw a random Storm Deck card and return the last revealed card before the next determination, expressly even without native Fremen. The first Storm still uses the two nearby players' secret 0–20 dials. The implementation reuses the six canonical faces 1–6 and its structured Storm source; native Fremen keeps its private next-card forecast and separate peek cancellation. Without Fremen, nobody gains a forecast or a borrowed Fremen advantage.
- Alliance Constraint, physical PDF page 15 and rationale on 40: at each player's Shipment and Movement end, that ending player's own forces in territories shared with its ally go to Tanks. Advanced does not wait for the ally's later turn or exempt an alliance formed this turn. Bene Gesserit advisors do not trigger this constraint in either direction; fighters remain ordinary forces. Polar Sink and native Ecaz peaceful coexistence remain exceptions. Homeworlds are not Dune territories, and their native allied-entry prohibitions are unchanged.
The page 15 footnote explicitly identifies the changed timing and advisor coexistence as departures from the original rules and November 2020 FAQ. Page 40 explains that choice; it is the supplied revision's unofficial authority, not a later GF9 clarification. See the allied separation source comparison and readiness follow-up.
Basic retains its existing dials and later-player/formation-turn separation
policy. A saved current Storm completes its already recorded dial/card
protocol without resetting, rerolling or redealing; the next new Advanced
Storm opening uses the Deck. Completed movement consequences are not
reevaluated. The own-turn warning exposes only affected public territory
names through GameView.advancedAllySeparation; the ordinary endMovement
action stays unchanged, with no confirmation for mandatory losses.
Verification of this cutover is Partial development verified: genuine
native, authenticated SQLite, private/control/bot and phone evidence is
recorded in the checkpoint log.
Code e1056a4 has exact-source successful isolated container verification
and publication; that does not update the last observed live revision.
Public, faction, optional-module and full-mode readiness gates are unchanged.
Secrecy (physical page 16), Duke Vidal's ghola exception (30), Kull and other
independent decisions are not reconciled by this cutover.
Recorded contracts and implementation boundaries
| Topic | Decision to preserve | Detailed authority and evidence |
|---|---|---|
| Harkonnen special-Karama forced return | Return automatically only when the combined hand equals the count owed. Keep actual drawn-card observations owner-private after settlement; legacy forced saves describe held-card history without inventing draw provenance. Existing provisional auction-payment recovery and mode gates remain. | Contract and limits |
| Basic Moritani / Leader Skills | Ordinary Terror death returns the assigned skill once; own revival offers the existing private optional replacement. Sabotage does not take skills, alliances do not transfer assignments, and mandatory Planetologist/Diplomat disposal excludes those cards from ally retention. This is composition of existing contracts, not a new ruling or resolution of unfinished skill effects. Advanced and other roster/module combinations remain gated. | Integration contract |
| Ecaz Loyalty | Before initial Traitor dealing, randomly set aside one native Ecaz card face up permanently. No Karama effect; no change to its leader disc. Resolving after existing pre-Traitor setup is an explicit sequencing composition. Older dealt saves are not retrofitted; combined Skills/assassination rosters remain gated. | Official sources and runtime |
| Sapho battle order | First/last reorders remaining Battle-phase choosers at clean boundaries. Phase priority persists through aftermath; actual legal pairs determine eligibility. Separating the chooser from physical attacker/tie advantage is an explicit implementation interpretation of the card's distinct alternatives, not a dedicated FAQ ruling. Last does not prevent others from choosing the holder as an opponent. | Runtime scope and source interpretation |
| Harass & Withdraw | Either slot but neither category; private Prescience answers null. Return uniquely determined own undialed physical forces before weapon losses, canceled by an opposing successful Traitor. Mandatory after-use discard overrides winner retention. Explosion ordering and own-Traitor disposal are explicit timing/specificity inferences, consistent with the recorded Planetologist precedent. | Runtime and sources |
| Expansion-faction setup | Selecting Ecaz/Moritani factions does not select their independent three-card variant. Ordinary decks contain 33/35/47 cards; Richese's ten-card cache stays separate. Ecaz allocates six total forces within Imperial Basin sectors 9–11, retaining fourteen reserves. Flexible sector allocation is the literal printed territory constraint; Fremen→Ecaz→Advanced BG order is an implementation inference, while Moritani-last is printed. | Source and profile contract |
| Ixian Technology on Richese lots | Replacement-card ownership, income and unsold disposition remain unresolved. A saved explicit per-lot decline permits an unchanged offer to proceed and leaves Technology available later. This development continuation does not implement the exchange or settle its custody. | Auction source boundary |
| Spice Banker battle spending | Secret own-spice commitment is separate from support; only the surviving selected disc gains strength. Core Battle Plan payment rules spend it on death/loss and waive it for a sole traitor-call winner. This payment composition is explicit; upper deferred-income custody remains pending. | Source contract and prototype |
| Smuggler shipping | Optional free companion is included in the actual total; apply Guild rounding to the reduced priced count. Ordinary Fremen reserves are on planet. The officially permitted owned No-Field plus a separate free force is now prototyped at the unchanged one-marker price. Legacy unstamped ordinary declarations keep their quoted full price. | Ordinary contract, No-Field combination |
| Sandmaster movement | One optional board spice per distinct entered territory on an explicit legal route; source-only repositioning earns none. Per-movement Hajr reset is a documented grammatical inference. Canceled moves earn nothing. Native Fremen worm rides collect optionally at the destination before faction arrival reactions, with no intermediate route. Multiple-pile collection remains guarded. | Ground routes, worm rides |
| Diplomat defense | With no actual defense, one physical Worthless card in either Battle Plan slot may copy the opponent's canonical base Shield or Snooper. The same native trained disc may protect itself. The public after-reveal/before-traitor choice and mandatory discard after traitor preemption are documented implementation inferences. Lower retreat and modified or multirole defenses remain guarded. | Source and connected prototype |
| Bureaucrat payments | Once per phase, optionally divert two from an actual third-party payment of at least five; payer cost is unchanged. Bribes trigger at transfer to the recipient's shield, not later collection. Native income is offered after Karama allowance as an explicit outcome-based inference; split contributions, split recipients and remaining payment families need further integration. | Source and connected boundary |
| Mentat question preview | The physical card says to show the card to the questioner, privately; it stays in hand and does not bind a plan. Ask before posture/faction powers. A uniform target response protects held/absent privacy but awaits approval as an exception to skipping forced confirmations; standard activation stays disabled. Empty hands skip with no fabricated answer. | Source and preview |
| Leader battle effects | Rihani normal peek and reshuffle precede a separate committed optional draw; ordering is an explicit printed-order inference. Unused excludes actual calls, not mere disclosure. Mentat/Bureaucrat change scores; Sandmaster adds board spice. Multiple piles and Face Dancer composition stay guarded. | Source contract and prototype |
| Source and readiness | Separate published rules, explicit implementation choices and unfinished interpretations; Advanced/expansion gates stay closed. | Base/Advanced audit, checklist |
| Setup and Fremen movement | Preserve source-ordered setup and the distinct declared-movement cancellation; do not recreate fixed historical gaps. | Setup contract, Fremen Karama |
| Guild payment | Rate, transport permission and income are distinct; power owner, shipper, contributors and independent rate-card beneficiary remain distinct. | Rate/cancellation sources, implemented payment routing |
| Guild native rate Karama | In bounded classic-faction Basic/Advanced tables, a separate prepayment response can cancel Guild’s or its ally’s half rate on an ordinary reserve shipment or eligible cross-planet transport, and Guild’s own return. The original physical cohort and approved contributor split must cover full destination price; otherwise the Karama is spent, the declaration returns unused, and a replacement this turn uses full price. One spice per returned force is the conservative doubled-tariff interpretation without a return-specific FAQ example. Independent Karama-purchased rates, Guild income, transport permission and optional modules remain separate. | Publisher distinctions and selected reserve/transport policy |
| Deferred shipment arrival | Quote unsupported ordinary arrivals before saving Guild interception. A validated legacy ordinary declaration may return unspent on the typed arrival error; corrupted declarations and special parent/card receipts are not silently cleared. This repairs continuation without deciding simultaneous reaction priority. | Reproduction and bounded recovery |
| Truthtrance | Current facts are boolean disclosures, not promises to preserve resources. Structured Basic and base Advanced active-opportunity shipment promises bind within their documented scope (Advanced excludes Guild and optional modules); prose is not automatically enforced. | Spice facts, card facts, shipment promises, remaining audit |
| Truthtrance hand categories | Count current physical hand custody by explicitly named primary role; alternate battle slots and faction powers do not reclassify cards. Only an aggregate answer is disclosed. | Hand inventory |
| Moritani Advanced assassination preview | After an eligible battle loss, a different opposing-faction Traitor Card may be revealed even if its leader is already dead (zero bounty). Face-up set-aside and one private replacement occur during Mentat; one use per faction. Normal-call duration, uniform hidden-eligibility UX and exceptional combinations remain explicit. | Runtime/source contract |
| Moritani Extortion at Mentat | The user selected normal Terror placement/relocation first, including any Karama response; only then collect the reserved five bank spice and approach other players in storm order for a possible three-spice payment. Payment removes the token; all declines recover it with rotated hidden supply IDs. The relative placement timing is a user-selected interpretation, not a publisher ruling. | Publisher sequence and selected timing |
| Ecaz Ambassador / Moritani Terror shared entry | In bounded classic plus Ecaz/Moritani Basic/Advanced games, both originally eligible owners resolve their optional reactions in current storm order; the committed entry, payment and counters are not replayed. Later alliance changes do not erase the original trigger, while physical effect prerequisites are rechecked. This is an explicit provisional table interpretation because no publisher priority ruling was found. BG Intrusion, child arrivals, Atomics and optional modules remain guarded. | Primary-source gap and selected policy, movement recovery |
| Fremen/Ecaz final-turn victory | Reciprocal allied Ecaz and Fremen with fighters in Sietch Tabr do not block the Fremen special victory. Ecaz alone/non-allied or a third faction still blocks. The Habbanya extension remains unsupported; ordinary winner/prediction and fallback order are preserved. | Explicit FAQ and runtime |
| Truthtrance recorded knowledge | Questions compare an already recorded BG prediction, active submitted storm dial or actually known native Fremen forecast. Missing knowledge is unknown; only the aggregate answer is published. No future promise or unknown deck peek is created. | Connected predicates and evidence |
| Nexus lifecycle | Twelve physical cards, phase draw/replacement and alliance forfeiture; native Cunning, absent-faction Secret Ally and Betrayal have separate effects. No blanket Karama immunity. | Common source contract, lifecycle runtime |
| Nexus faction effects | Preserve physical custody, original faction identity and durable effect receipts; use each printed family instead of borrowing another faction's rules by analogy. | Atreides, Harkonnen, BG, Emperor, Fremen, Guild |
| Expansion Nexus families | Source audit coverage does not imply every panel is playable; consult later runtime records in the status log. | Ixian Cunning, Ixian replacement, Tleilaxu, CHOAM, Richese, Ecaz, Moritani |
| Richese Nexus Betrayal auctions | Pause at a valid original prepayment quote. Public self-cache veto discards the exact card without debit/acquisition; another buyer's positive cache/Black Market invoice keeps price/contributions/delivery and earned Harkonnen bonus while overriding the recipient to bank. All publicly possible unallied other-faction held-Nexus seats acknowledge uniformly; private identity controls only own Use. This neutral protocol is an application choice, not publisher timing. Normal hidden-family self-purchases, special-Karama veto and unsupported overlays remain excluded; no native Karama exception certifies them. Bounded engine/SQL/bot/phone scenarios are verified locally; broader verification remains Partial and public starts/full Nexus gates stay closed. | Printed face, profile, API and saved continuation, common privacy protocol, auction source boundaries |
| Guild Nexus Betrayal shipment payment | Replace one original funded positive fee in full, including own pre-funded payment and the printed full occupied-Junction override; preserve original payer/contributions, consume already-debited donor escrow once and deliver the original physical shipment once. Native applicable stop/rate responses precede the bounded gate; zero/stopped shipments supply no award or Nexus cost. Public possible held-Nexus seats acknowledge uniformly; private Use changes no public price/source disclosure. Fresh classic/native-Guild/Nexus with optional genuinely seeded Homeworlds only; unsupported native Cunning/Richese shipment overlays block before card/parent commitment, and restored transport independently requires the native Guild grant. Bounded engine/SQL/bot/CLI/phone custody and refresh are locally verified; no new priority/immunity, ordinary occupation/rounding ruling or extra shipment. Broad/public/live gates remain closed. | Printed source and bounded contract, common protocol, internal checklist |
| Ixian Nexus Secret Ally replacement | Fresh classic/base-deck/Nexus-only Basic or Advanced local ixian-replacement profile binds one genuine normal paid/printed Karama purchase. Discard exactly that purchased physical card before privately drawing the actual deck top; full-hand and exhausted-deck same-card redraw are legal. Keep original payment, income and native auction suffix once; no refund, re-auction or new native Ixian Karama response. Every publicly possible supported unallied held-Nexus buyer gets the same neutral choice irrespective of hidden face; only the owner has Pass/entitled inspection and private eligible Use. This is an inferred development privacy convention, not publisher timing. Harkonnen buyers, Richese cache/Black Market/special origins, anytime overlays and combined modules stay guarded pending their independent source/priority questions. Existing native Ixian ally replacement is distinct. Verification Planned; no retrofit, public start or full-family certification. |
Photographed face and bounded runtime contract |
| Ixian Nexus Betrayal: Bidding or Technology | Fresh native-Ixian/classic-or-Tleilaxu Basic/Advanced local ixian-betrayal uses Ix47 Treachery and Nexus alone, with no initial Nexus deal or old-save retrofit. Resolve actual native Karama/BG counters first; a native denial opens no Nexus gate or cost. After all native passes, uniform publicly possible unallied non-Ixian held-Nexus seats acknowledge before the native effect; concealed face governs only private Use. These are bounded privacy/ordering inferences, not publisher universal priority. One physical Ixian Nexus denies one current Bidding attempt (normal count, no Ixian inspection/return) or one Advanced Technology declaration (both card locations preserved, attempt remains used); all-pass allows the original effect and suffix once. No whole-phase ban, completed undo, invented direct-Nexus Karama counter or blanket immunity. Richese special-lot exchange, wider priority/modules, complete games, strategy and public/live release remain open; verification is Planned pending frozen direct evidence. |
Photographed face and native source protocol, fresh local runtime and acceptance, five-facet internal topic |
| CHOAM Secret Ally | Absent-faction Collection trade spends one actual Worthless card and the Nexus for two bank spice. It is separate from native Cunning and Auditor; the battle inspection alternative remains missing. | Prototype contract |
| Sapho movement | At a clean boundary, first reorders only remaining unstarted turns; completed turns stay completed. Advanced Guild must have finished or be absent. Last retains existing protection after Guild. | Existing source contract, runtime |
| Basic CHOAM / Leader Skills | Compose existing ordinary skills with native sales and own-leader Ghola revival. Finish the private optional replacement before the exact suspended sale resumes. The free revival remains completed if the resumed sale is canceled. Basic uses five ordinary leaders and 35 Treachery Cards; Auditor remains Advanced and ineligible for skills. | Integration and source contracts |
| Basic Ixians / Leader Skills | Per-origin cyborg range, room-local HMS force routes, rescue before actual cyborg Tank substitution, Rihani before faction substitution and mandatory cleanup compose existing contracts. Ambiguous rescued cyborg reserve origins are explicit player choices. Exact green Ix Specials are Thumper, Harvester and Amal. | Integration and physical sources |
| Basic Tleilaxu / Leader Skills | Compose settled native Rihani Face Dancer eligibility, own revival offers and Face Dance death return through the full deck. Zoal copies opposing printed disc value for unmodified Smuggler collection. Advanced foreign gholas and existing skill questions remain gated. | Integration and sources |
| Leader Skills | Fourteen physical cards, variant setup order, public/hidden assignment, death return, own-leader revival and captured lower-band effects are sourced. Five battle disciplines, Planetologist movement/Special substitution, Suk Graduate rescues and common lifecycle are prototyped; Rihani, lower Mentat/Bureaucrat/Sandmaster, normal Smuggler and normal Diplomat now have connected follow-ups. Remaining bands and combinations stay missing. Known skilled capture identifies the leader through its unique public card. | Source contract, capture inference, runtime, Diplomat, Planetologist, Suk Graduate |
| Discoveries | Preserve seven sourced Spice Cards and eight physical tokens, private faction peeks and Collection choices. Revealed locations are separate territories; only Jacurutu counts toward stronghold victory. Next-turn free entry, sole-occupant Cistern income, bounded sole-occupant Orgiz transfer and later-turn Ornithopter spending are prototyped; Jacurutu income, Testing Station and Shrine also have bounded paths. Contested and mixed cases remain pending. | Component authority, prototype boundary |
| Guild Secret Ally | One explicit Guild-priced ordinary shipment; borrowed prices/routes preserve native identity. Free Fremen reinforcement remains a separate choice. | Route contract, verified runtime |
| Homeworld custody and mobility | Physical home/visitor groups, population thresholds, tariffs and transport permissions retain distinct sources; Homeworld immunity is not universal immunity. | Homeworld rules, benefits, mobility, invasion, Guild transport |
| Homeworld effects | Keep original payment/revival/placement identities and qualification observations; observations alone do not choose an occupied-benefit owner. | Payments, card economy, Collection, revival deployment, victory reinforcement, replacement, Tupile |
| Duke Vidal revival custody | The user selected set-aside custody after Ecaz revives the shared disc: revival clears the Tanks but does not itself grant battle control. Ecaz still needs a separate Ambassador or Nexus acquisition; only Ecaz may revive Duke, including by Ghola. This resolves one post-revival product interpretation, not the separate six-disc repeated-cycle, exceptional capture or battle-used Ghola questions. No publisher clarification assigning a post-revival controller was located. | Publisher Ecaz/Moritani pp. 7–9, revival readiness |
| Mirror Weapon copied-card cleanup | The user selected ordinary winner retention for the physical Mirror even if its effective copy activates Tooth or Artillery. The original Tooth/Artillery cards retain their named mandatory-discard exceptions. This is a product interpretation, not a located publisher ruling. Independent copy-first Tooth/Stone choices and physical cleanup now have a bounded CHOAM/Richese-deck battle runtime; combined modules and full Richese games remain gated. | Printed Mirror face and source audit |
| Kull Wahad preview timing | User selected a distinct eligible counter while the interrupted physical card stays reserved, and BG Worthless interception before conversion/discard. Pending declaration is not a ban; only success stamps turn/phase and retains original/special once-use. Decline or prevention resumes the original once. Old kull stays printed-only; fresh nexus-kull admits native CHOAM plus classic Basic/Advanced seats, CHOAM/Ix Treachery and Nexus alone, without physical Sandtrout. Nexus Use needs actual unallied CHOAM Nexus and canonical eligible own fuel: accepted declaration spends Nexus even if prevented, fuel stays held until success. Use requires source/event/card, with no old-source action shim or proactive Kull. Verified prior printed counter saves migrate only their selection binding; no new-choice retrofit. Reservations, promises and remaining winning-payment coverage constrain fuel/counters; ordinary retained Karama payment is not a canceled Cunning effect. Priority/custody/overbid are user policy; neutral timing/spend conventions are application policy. Bounded checks/CLI/runtime/phone cases pass; broader verification is Partial and no full/public/deployed gate opens. |
Selected preview policy, source/cost boundary, runtime and remaining limits, new evidence |
| Semuta full-hand exchange | User selected Allow exchange: acquisition followed by Semuta disposal is an atomic net-zero hand exchange at the faction limit. Existing incoming reservations still consume capacity; this does not permit an already overfull hand or settle Box/Richese purchase timing. | Selected capacity policy |
Shipment-only AND/OR now follows the FAQ's whole-question truth: Yes to AND requires all conditions, Yes to OR requires one, and No negates the whole expression. One eventual shipment or skip is evaluated against every separate promise. See compound shipment promises; mixed present/future predicates and existing timing/module gates remain unfinished.
Current Truthtrance force facts count physical counters in reserves, the Tanks or one exact live board location. Totals include elites; normal counts subtract them. Advisors remain counters, and concealed No-Field markers/values are excluded. These are current observations, not future obligations; no typed distribution is invented when Basic lacks separate starred-counter tracking. See the force-fact source composition.
For future interactions with no publisher ruling discoverable after targeted research, use the conservative recommended interpretation and document it as an implementation choice rather than soliciting another preference. Earlier pending questions below remain recorded until their relevant work is revisited.
Pending interpretations: preserve existing questions
These are unresolved in the cited records. Do not infer an answer from elapsed time, a fixture, a related card or this index. Check subsequent recorded user/source decisions before proceeding; do not send duplicate questions.
| Boundary | Still unresolved | Existing record |
|---|---|---|
| Bureaucrat / Emperor gifts | Whether an allied gift is a qualifying payment and whether its threshold may be revealed. Existing gift amounts are private to payer/recipient; the card and retrieved primary sources do not explicitly settle this combination. The user question is pending; no answer or exact-amount disclosure is assumed. | Gift classification review |
| Reinforcements cost | The user question still asks whether to keep the card disabled, always transfer three reserve forces on every outcome, or waive only a sole traitor-call winner's cost; no answer is assumed. The bounded classic and Ecaz/Moritani prototype provisionally charges on all revealed outcomes, chooses normal reserves before elite and counts the transfer as battle losses. Those are product interpretations, not a ruling. Same-plan Harass/Stone Burner remain gated; opposing Harass is supported. Eligibility never depends on concealed matching Traitors. | Source cost review · Bounded runtime |
| Harass / Stone Burner | A user question has been sent: keep the combination gated or compare forces remaining after withdrawal. No answer is assumed. The Richese card-family configuration is guarded publicly; hidden Stone Burner custody never controls eligibility. Ambiguous physical allocations and other optional modules remain unfinished. | Current boundaries |
| Recruits late accounting and rates | A user question has been sent for two free plus one paid Atreides return before Recruits: keep the disputed case gated, or one/two further free returns without refund. No answer is assumed. Late-changing free rates, pending repricing and same-turn recovered-card replay also stay gated. The connected clean-case preview retains the independent seven-force cap after faction-advantage cancellation as an explicit inference, not a direct combined FAQ. | Source audit, runtime scope |
| Sandmaster / native HMS relocation | No official source located establishes that passengers remaining inside the HMS enter outside territories for this skill. Extra collection eligibility is pending a user ruling; native sector collection and ordinary force entry/exit remain available. | Source comparison and question |
| Sapho remaining timing | First versus unspent Advanced Guild priority, partly completed combined turns, cyclic auction duration and later battle timing stay guarded. The existing pre-plan opportunity supports early aggressor. Prior questions remain unanswered. | Source audit, battle review |
| Semuta Drug | Full-hand exchange is user-approved; neutral all-seat acknowledgements remain the explicit application policy. Other discard producers, nested continuation coverage and full-game acceptance remain unfinished. | Source update and selected exchange, privacy review |
| Leader Skills edge cases | Capture/replacement eligibility, Banker escrow custody, Smuggler modifier/allocation boundaries, Mentat empty-hand fallback, modified Diplomat defenses and simultaneous optional timing remain source gaps. After an online publisher/designer/tournament check found no explicit priority ruling, the bounded standalone Diplomat retreat prototype explicitly chooses printed/copied disc strength and a surviving-loser retreat before ordinary casualties; other combinations remain guarded. This is an implementation interpretation, not an official clarification. | Material boundaries and selected retreat interpretation, Diplomat defense boundary |
| Smuggler collection strength | A fresh primary-source check found no modifier ruling. The user was asked whether to keep affected combinations gated, use printed/copied disc value, or include leader bonuses with Stunner zero. No answer is assumed. The reveal-bound deferred receipt is supported as an explicit timing inference; unmodified lower collection is now prototyped; modified strength, multiple positive piles and combined modules remain gated. | Smuggler follow-up |
| Suk Graduate / Atreides | Whether rescued dialed casualties count toward the seven-loss Kwisatz Haderach threshold remains unresolved. The user question has been sent; Advanced Atreides rescue stays guarded. | Source and runtime boundary |
| Ordinary Guild cancellation | Unaffordable repricing, replacement/retry/decline, consumed opportunity, contributor adjustment and ordering with special shipment-stop. The affordability question was already sent. | Material timing |
| Base special Karama | Unfunded auction recovery, stopped-shipment settlement and Atreides full-plan commitment order remain provisional. Native full-plan/Voice/Prescience/Truthtrance/Ghola interactions now have genuine-setup focused evidence, but the source audit does not settle the special offer/deadline or target-first interpretation. | Explicit base interpretations, full-plan interaction audit |
| Guild Secret Ally/Homeworlds | Whether the reserve-return grant overrides the Homeworld return restriction. The question was already sent; that route stays guarded. | Homeworld return, checkpoint |
| Occupied Homeworlds | Entitlement/expiry after departure, replacement or contest; unique powers and shared income. The first-occupier/current-occupier question was already sent. | Occupation questions, lifecycle audit |
| Nexus responses and composition | Betrayal private-response timing, partial revival/payment choices, Emperor fewer-than-five, fresh advisor/storm cases, Duke restoration and remaining faction-specific combinations. Tleilaxu Secret Ally force accounting, leader slot/eligibility and force-only use remain unresolved after requested publisher/designer source searches; do not infer answers from native Tleilaxu revival or Ghola. | Common boundaries, Tleilaxu source search and individual faction source/runtime documents |
| Moritani Atomics after alliance change | The publisher's persistent −1 hand-limit text names Moritani and “your ally,” but not whether the penalty follows a later ally, remains on the original ally or affects both. Requested online source searches found no clarification; the alliance-change case remains gated. | Terror source boundary |
| Orgiz collection | The publisher rulebook, page 13 says an occupant steals one spice of each collected blow, but its Q&A and searched designer/community sources do not define stacked board piles. Choose one transfer per positive collected board deposit as the observable first version, from its unique rival collector; this is an inference, not a publisher ruling. Contested Orgiz occupancy and Ecaz shared lots withhold only the uncertain transfer while ordinary collection continues. | Discovery interpretation |
| Jacurutu physical dial | The user question asks whether the losing player should choose the physical normal/elite forces represented by its dial. When legal Advanced allocations produce different rewards, income remains explicitly unpaid; numeric wheel subtraction is not a ruling. | Discovery interpretations |
| Testing Station contest/timing | Only sole non-advisor occupation is prototyped. Two-occupant priority/stacking remains unresolved; opening after the ordinary storm-card window is an explicit source-timing inference. Weather Control is excluded by the printed text. | Discovery interpretations |
| CHOAM Secret Ally battle timing | The printed after-victory inspection is optional and the Nexus identity stays secret. The connected prototype chooses a uniform use-or-continue window for every winner when Nexus is enabled and CHOAM absent; nonholders pass, while a holder may decide after the result. This privacy-preserving prompt is a product inference, not publisher text. A holder-only pause would reveal custody and a precommitment would remove the printed choice. Ordinary Karama cancellation remains unestablished by retrieved sources; no response is invented. | After-victory inspection boundary |
| Moritani Secret Ally battle timing | The printed after-loss retention is optional and the Nexus card remains secret. The connected prototype offers the same choice to every loser when Moritani is absent and at least one publicly revealed played card is retainable; a loser with no eligible public card has no useful choice, independent of hidden custody. Only an unallied holder may spend the physical card. This prompt is a privacy-preserving product inference, not publisher timing text. Native Moritani alliance retention and its Karama response remain separate; no generic Secret Ally counter is invented. | Nexus retention boundary |
| Ecaz Secret Ally traitor inquiry | The printed panel asks one selected player whether they hold any of the holder's leaders as Traitors, without identifying a leader; it specifies neither native-versus-controlled scope nor answer audience. The connected prototype chooses native printed faction leaders (including dead/captured), ordinary Traitor Cards rather than Face Dancers, and a holder-only historical yes/no. This is a privacy-preserving product interpretation, not a publisher ruling. Foreign Ghola/captive scope and table-wide disclosure remain release boundaries. | Ecaz inquiry source and bounded runtime |
| Ecaz native Nexus Cunning timing | The printed Cunning takes Duke Vidal for this turn even from capture, Tanks or Ghola custody, but names no phase. The connected first version chooses the quiet Battle phase boundary and a living, uncaptured, non-Ghola shared disc, including a Moritani-controlled Duke. This is a bounded product timing and custody decision, not a publisher restriction. Advanced Harkonnen is gated because its existing battle path cannot select Duke. Exceptional return destinations, response priority and combined modules remain gated; ordinary Ecaz Ambassador custody is unaffected. | Source and bounded runtime |
| Emperor Secret Ally purchase timing | The bounded normal bank-auction prototype chooses a uniform winner payment confirmation in classic-faction Nexus-only games with Emperor absent, including otherwise sole spice payments. This prevents a holder-only pause from exposing hidden card eligibility. It is a provisional product privacy choice, not a user or publisher ruling; the previously asked confirmation-versus-gate question remains open. Seller-paid/allied purchases and other sources stay gated. | Source contract and bounded prototype, runtime |
| Discovery prototype inferences | Free entry uses storm order and ordinary source-storm restrictions; these are general-rule inferences. Great Maker currently follows ordinary first-turn worm skipping and Sandtrout suppression; an exhausted token type creates no replacement token. These preserve current source interpretation and physical inventory but are not separately confirmed rulings or complete combined-module certification. | Interpretations for refinement |
| Other Homeworld combinations | Population/force splitting, removal custody, replacement shortages, income accounting and placement ordering remain local to their detailed contracts. | Homeworld rules, occupation and the effect documents above |
