Current approved-artwork checkpoint — 20 October 2026

v1.0.0 preparation — 21 October 2026: the user approved release with a prominent 5,743/5,753 HD; ten original-art fallbacks note. Both executables were rebuilt with Cargo package version 1.0.0 using the existing Rust 1.99 toolchains. Engine source, mods and all 32,373 data-file hashes are unchanged. Fresh installed CLI passed catalog, all HD frames and 45 mods; one 240-frame 1080p HD SDL capture has non-silent stereo audio. Exporter 22 and publisher 10 checks pass. Native Windows CI, frozen-tag export and public v1.0.0 publication remain pending at this source checkpoint. The tracked release note is release/notes-v1.0.0.md.

Published release checkpoint — 20 October 2026: RustRaptor 0.1.0 Preview is public, with all 13 assets verified: seven complete shared-data ZIPs, Linux and Windows platform ZIPs, two installers, the versioned manifest and checksums. The helpers assemble one self-contained folder with original data, 45 mods and their artwork/audio.

The release tag is fixed at 7ecaa42b29ff0db5d2f7cdfe6da0a3221dfea555. Native Windows game validation passed at that exact commit. Hosted export checked every archive and all remote hashes; final independent review matched all 48,209 archive payload rows and 13 remote assets. The later maintenance commit 991b471f adds the hosted publishing controller without moving the release tag or changing game data.

Current HD coverage is 5,743 / 5,753 original pictures. Ten remain unapproved and retain original-art fallback. The reviewed 50-picture append was published in 443d7785; no further artwork was generated for the release.

Current artwork checkpoint — 20 October 2026: 5,743 reviewed pictures / 3,830 complete sequences, including 4,530 Terrain pictures. Ten originals remain unapproved: five Terrain, four enemies/ground objects and one UI/other picture. Generation was declined for those ten; they are not counted as remastered.

This 50-picture Terrain append covers dark/night material, coastlines, industrial structures and the remaining first/late-campaign terrain. Its PNG provenance is 32 Source-guided derived pictures, nine selections from untouched genuine atlases, three pictures sharing one partially derived atlas, and six lossless genuine-atlas crops. Only 304fb is patched in the shared atlas; 304fa/304fc cells remain unchanged genuine pixels. All 211 retained Original owners, Source geometry and tonal backing earn no generated-HD-detail credit. Stepped joins, dark material and native-scale detail limits remain documented. Two unused assets, 2043f/20458, have catalogue/intrinsic approval without an invented runtime placement.

Old measurements keep their literal epochs. A separate current check reviewed 35 genuine terrain states at native1–4 using H5654 accepted stages plus the frozen 89-picture overlay, covering interactions between the prior 39 and this 50. Its overlay is not a full installed 5743 measured bank. Different review covered all 560 complete saved native bodies; Root reviewed all 35 native4. These static checks do not claim all callers, World timing or full missions.

Twenty staged checks preceded one private registrar main. Runtime: 32,373 files / 10,376,039,515 bytes. Launcher checks exited 0 with 6,449 assets verified and 5,743 HD frames validated, zero rejects. Public tool checks closed 1,109 distinct passing cases across nine isolated groups, mixing synthetic fixtures and authenticated Original-data integrations. The initial missing-fixture failures and corrected counts remain preserved; only the affected groups were rerun. Actual portable reproductions and earlier held artwork remain pinned separately. SourceG2 binaries, 45 mods and 42 SD/HD briefings are unchanged. No native Windows 5743 result is claimed.

Current approved-artwork checkpoint — 20 October 2026

Current artwork checkpoint — 20 October 2026: 5,693 reviewed pictures / 3,780 complete sequences, including 4,480 Terrain pictures. 60 originals remain: 55 Terrain, four enemies/ground objects and one UI/other picture.

This 39-picture Terrain append covers quiet roads/bridges, shorelines, damaged terrain, industrial material and fine terrain. Its PNGs comprise 32 Source-guided derived images, six lossless genuine-atlas crops and one untouched full generator return 10510. Original geometry, tonal backing and retained functional/gray/fidelity cells earn no generated-HD-detail credit. Restrained fine material, native1 downsampling and inherited stepped or mixed-material joins remain documented limits.

The old intrinsic and finite scene captures retain their literal epochs. A separate current joint check reviewed 11 affected genuine terrain states at native1–4, using H5654 accepted stages plus the frozen39 overlay. Its 39-definition header was an overlay, not a measured registered5693 bank. The initial constructor rejected a strict header before graphics (101); a metadata-only header successor passed on the same binary (0). Different review covered all 176 complete saved bodies; Root reviewed all 11 native4. These static checks do not claim all callers, World timing or full missions.

An earlier authority-preparation check stopped on a shared proof route before staging; its metadata correction and zero stage/main scope are preserved. Twenty-one staged checks preceded one private registrar main. Runtime: 22,424 files / 9,666,147,217 bytes. Launcher checks exited0 with 6,449 assets verified and 5,693 HD frames validated, zero rejects. Five fresh Python processes passed 820 distinct cases: 656 maintained root cases and 164 versioned namespace cases, comprising 804 synthetic/generated-fixture contracts and 16 authentic Original-data integrations. Five bounded fine6 recipe reproductions matched every selected PNG; the historical 105a4 companion remains unselected. SourceG2 binaries, 45 mods and 42 SD/HD briefings are unchanged. Native Windows 5654 success39229967668 remains dated; no native 5693 result is claimed.

Resumed — 20 October 2026

Work resumed at the user’s request. The installed artwork remains 5,654 reviewed pictures / 3,741 sequences, with 99 originals awaiting publication. Three historical accepted QA receipts have been restored byte-for-byte, with their exact runtime-manifest entries; no artwork, engine binary or mod changed. See the restoration receipt. The runtime now contains 14,497 data files / 8,907,233,712 bytes.

Agents have resumed the saved private batches. The next 39 pictures remain unpublished pending final visual review, reproducibility checks and combined terrain-context checks. The paused checkpoint below is retained as historical evidence and is superseded by this resumed status.

Earlier paused checkpoint — preserved below

Paused at user request — 19 October 2026

All agents stopped; no background artwork, rendering or build process remains. The published game is at 126d28ba: 5,654 reviewed pictures / 3,741 sequences, with 58 of the requested 157 completed and 99 still awaiting publication. Installed validation accepts all 5,654 HD pictures with zero rejects; 491 public synthetic tests and the native Windows workflow for this game commit passed.

A further 39-picture batch and other reviewed artwork are saved privately, not counted as published. Three historical QA-receipt restorations and the 80-file helper/test proposal have not been applied. Late-nine texture repair has not executed; the latest five-tile context review stopped partway through. Resume from the machine-readable pause checkpoint, which pins the local handoffs, unfinished gates and exact next steps. Private .reference/ evidence remains on this drive and must be preserved. Do not restart agents until the user asks to continue.

Earlier published checkpoint — preserved below

Current approved-artwork checkpoint — 19 October 2026

Current artwork checkpoint — 19 October 2026: 5,654 reviewed pictures / 3,741 complete sequences, including 4,441 Terrain pictures. 99 originals remain: 94 Terrain, four enemies/ground objects and one UI/other picture.

This seven-picture append adds the complete two-frame SHIP09G2 family and five distinct dark DSHP singletons. All use derived genuine material with disclosed Source constraints. The six retained Original marker cells, geometry support, brightness/color/distance caps and backing fills earn no generated-HD detail credit. Literal SourceG2/H5636 scenes and finite H5647 input carries remain separate; visible dark material, downsampling and native-scale limits stay recorded.

Six staged checks preceded one private registrar main. Runtime: 14,494 files / 8,907,045,232 bytes. Final standalone launcher validation confirms 5,654 HD frames with zero rejects; asset verification reports 6,449 assets. The earlier combined launcher printed both complete results but ended with terminal143 and empty stderr; its uncertain cause is preserved separately. The fresh public HD-tool suite passed 491 synthetic tests. Three namespace-normalized recipes were actually reproduced byte-exactly, preserving earlier recipes and receipts; no new engine QA or World ran during publication. SourceG2 binaries, 45 mods and 42 SD/HD briefings remain unchanged. Windows CI for fad806a failed checkout on a long filename before game/tests; CI-only11505721 enabled long paths, with its run pending at the recorded observation. No native H5654 result is claimed.

Earlier H5647 artwork and presentation checkpoints — retained verbatim

Current approved-artwork checkpoint — 19 October 2026

Current artwork checkpoint — 19 October 2026: 5,647 reviewed pictures / 3,735 complete sequences, including 4,441 Terrain pictures. 106 originals remain: 94 Terrain, 11 enemies/ground objects and one UI/other picture.

This 11-picture append adds two gratings, three E3 terrain pictures, five first-campaign tiles and the copyright graphic. Copyright and the two unused tiles have catalogue/intrinsic approval without invented gameplay scenes. Other finite contexts keep their literal SourceG2/H5613 epoch and separate H5636 input carries. The 68 retained Original cells and Source-owned grating masks/gray anchors earn no generated-HD detail credit; visible texture, palette and native-scale limits remain recorded.

Launcher checks verify 6,449 assets and 5,647 HD frames with zero rejects. Runtime: 13,551 files / 8,833,075,526 bytes. Seven staged checks preceded one private registrar main; the fresh public HD-tool suite passed 389 synthetic tests. SourceG2 binaries, 45 mods and 42 SD/HD mission briefings remain unchanged. Native Windows CI for 83a7c8cb passed at 5,636 pictures and retains that scope. Earlier gameplay, scene, audio and performance evidence stays dated; other private artwork remains outside this append.

Earlier H5636 artwork and presentation checkpoints — retained verbatim

Current approved-artwork checkpoint — 19 October 2026

Current artwork checkpoint — 19 October 2026: 5,636 reviewed pictures / 3,724 complete sequences, including 4,431 Terrain pictures. 117 originals remain: 104 Terrain, 11 enemies/ground objects and two UI/other pictures.

This 23-picture append adds PLATOON6, PERSON12 and five Terrain pictures. PLATOON is dormant catalogue artwork: Rust still lacks the classic secret/ship-computer activation, so no gameplay context is claimed. PERSON has genuine finite SourceG2/H5613 S2W4 ground contexts. Terrain keeps its literal SourceG2/H5596-plus9 captures, with separate finite64 input carries; retained Original faces and functional black support earn no generated-detail credit.

Launcher checks verify 6,449 assets and 5,636 HD frames, zero rejects. Runtime: 11,128 files / 8,748,933,415 bytes. Five staged checks preceded one registrar main. 357 distinct synthetic passes came from 336 + 21 tests, not one fresh 357-test run. SourceG2 binaries, 45 mods and 42 SD/HD briefings are unchanged. Native Windows CI for ff4ebf35 passed at 5,613 pictures; this does not establish native execution of the 5,636-picture pack or complete mission, audio or performance coverage. Earlier evidence and preserved metadata/prelaunch stops retain their scope.

Earlier H5613 artwork and presentation checkpoints — retained verbatim

Current approved-artwork checkpoint — 19 October 2026

Current artwork checkpoint — 19 October 2026: 5,613 reviewed pictures in 3,716 complete sequences, including 4,426 Terrain pictures. 140 originals await approval: 109 Terrain, 29 enemies/ground objects and two UI/other pictures.

This append approves exactly 17 pictures: unused catalogue Terrain20582, two ridge tiles, four shallow structural tiles, seven destroyed-terrain pictures and three dark-ship pictures. Functional Original details retain separate credit; the unused asset has no invented gameplay context. New SourceG2 intrinsic measurements match the reviewed historical pixels. Older SourceF context captures keep their true epoch, with finite input carries and visible material qualifications recorded separately.

Installed checks pass for all 6,449 catalog assets and 5,613 HD frames with zero rejects. The runtime has 10,885 data files / 8,728,062,352 bytes; 196 additions comprise 191 job files and five Root admission records. All five staged read-only checks passed before one private registrar main. A prior pre-start authoring/metadata stop remains preserved. The maintained HD-tool suite passed 293 synthetic tests. Current SourceG2 binaries, all 45 mods and all 42 SD/HD mission briefings are unchanged by this artwork append. Two actual installed SourceG2 SDL gameplay controls—Original Sector 1 Wave 2 at 180 frames and Sector 3 Wave 5 at 600 frames—exited successfully with empty stderr. Both complete 1920×1080 screenshots were reviewed; the centered 4:3 game frame and sidebars remain intact. These finite controls establish neither visibility of all 17 new pictures nor complete-mission, audible-sound, performance or native Windows results.

The native Windows feature run for commit 2d95e145 succeeded; it remains dated 5,596-picture evidence, not native execution of this 5,613-picture pack. Earlier scene, menu, intro and gameplay results retain their recorded scope. New briefing illustrations add no Original remaster credit; the other five terrain proposals and private infantry work remain unapproved by this append.

Earlier mission-presentation and artwork checkpoints — retained verbatim

Current presentation checkpoint — 19 October 2026

All 42 missions have SD/HD cinematic briefing previews: 27 Original missions, 14 Iron Coast missions and Aurora. Iron Coast names include stage/mission prefixes without changing stable content IDs. Forty illustrations are new; two HD illustrations are retained, with their SD counterparts refreshed separately. The refreshed Stormwall and Iron Crown SD cards passed replacement menu capture and review. Cosmetic mod naming/artwork changes use the normal changed-package save confirmation and retain equipment and progression references.

Briefings preserve full RGB in a shared 132×70 logical-pixel viewport with an aspect-preserving centered crop. Four actual SourceG SDL controls confirmed 16:9 menus and 4:3 intro/gameplay presentation. SourceG2 changes only diagnostic error context; both its Linux ELF and Windows executable were rebuilt. Native Windows CI for this new source is not yet claimed.

The initial integrated 29-target test run recorded 481 passes, one known display-diagnostic failure and 37 ignored tests. SourceG2's 14 targeted reruns passed, resolving that failure. Together these results cover 482 distinct passing tests and 37 ignored tests; this is combined evidence, not a fresh single 482-test run. Fourteen Python synthetic/archive tests also passed.

The checked runtime snapshot contains 10,689 data files / 8,691,739,470 bytes, including 240 new data files for the briefing pass. Mod SD refreshes live outside that data count. Original sprite/terrain HD coverage remains 5,596 reviewed pictures / 157 awaiting approval; new briefing illustrations add no remaster credit. Earlier SourceF artwork proofs and captured pixel epochs remain literal and retain their original scope.

Earlier SourceF H5596 checkpoint — retained verbatim

Current checkpoint — 18 October 2026

Current artwork/runtime checkpoint — 18 October 2026: 5,596 reviewed pictures in 3,700 complete sequences. 157 originals await approval: 123 Terrain, 32 enemies/ground objects and two UI/other pictures. This adds corrugated terrain (4), SHIP15G1 (3), STAG03G3 (1), green destroyed terrain (7) and the complete TARGT animation (14).

Terrain uses untouched generated atlases; ship, vehicle and hatch artwork includes declared derived material and retained Original details. Functional Original samples and carried artwork earn no new generated-detail credit. Family records retain finite scene scopes, visible qualifications and the distinction between original pixel captures and later input checks.

Installed validation accepts all 5,596 frames with zero rejects and 45 mods with one override. The assembled folder has 10,449 data files / 8,536,899,084 bytes. The actual maintained-tool suite passed 242 synthetic tests. Three fresh installed SDL controls passed and were personally reviewed; their exact visible scope is recorded with the receipts. SourceF and both game binaries remain unchanged. Earlier checks, held drafts and provider refusals remain archived below; complete Original-art coverage is unfinished. Native Windows evidence remains tied to its recorded commit and artwork count.

Earlier H5567 checkpoint — retained verbatim

Current checkpoint — 18 October 2026

Current artwork/runtime checkpoint — 18 October 2026: 5,567 reviewed pictures in 3,686 complete sequences, including 4,401 Terrain pictures. 186 originals still await approval: 134 Terrain, 50 enemies/ground objects and two UI/other pictures. All 249 boss pictures are reviewed; complete Original-art coverage remains unfinished.

This append adds eight selected destroyed Terrain pictures, UI1010c/1010f, only Terrain3050a, and Terrain30112/30113/30119/3011a. Generated parents, derived cleanup and explicitly retained functional Original samples retain separate lineage. Carried registered siblings and Original fallback/held atlas cells do not count as new approved artwork. The finite intrinsic/context/caller scopes and old pixel-versus-input epochs are recorded individually in the ledger; no all-placement, full-mission, seamlessness or performance claim follows.

Actual assembly contains 10,214 data files / 8,493,122,187 bytes. The final receipt separately records 217 new job files and 17 shared evidence files. Historical QA/proof restoration is not new artwork or a new measurement. Old Source/native/provenance prefixes and prior payloads remain exact. The bundled legacy-receipt reader passed 42 actual API reads of 23 unique receipts, including two legacy absolute-path cases with external W access blocked. The source-only V1 archival-route HOLD preceded all real preflight calls; the reviewed V2 ran one actual preflight and one private registrar main with no failed real stage or automatic retry.

Actual installed validation accepts all 5,567 frames with zero rejects and validates 45 mods with one override. Three fresh 1920×1080 software-SDL controls—menu, Original Sector 1 Wave 7 and Sector 3 Wave 9—each exited successfully with empty stderr. The operator and Root personally viewed all three complete screens. All PNG bytes and decoded RGB/alpha planes match actual H5552 exactly, with zero changed pixels across 6,220,800 pixels. These fixed controls do not establish that any of the 15 new pictures appeared; known mixed terrain textures and Source-stepped shadows remain visible.

The maintained cleanup/registration suite passed 196 synthetic-asset tests after the reviewed legacy-receipt portability fix, including the UI helper. The earlier 180-test run is dated predecessor evidence. The Python registrar resolves authentic legacy QA paths across the supported data roots; old JSON bytes remain unchanged. SourceF18, both binaries, Mission 2 version 1.0.3 and all 45 mods are unchanged. The exact f3b30df0 H5539 native Windows run separately succeeded:401 Rust tests passed,26ignored,zero failed plus four archive tests,5539HD/zero rejects,45mods/one override and finite Unicode/gameplay/PCM checks. The exact 05a2eae9 H5552 native Windows run separately succeeded: 401 Rust tests passed, 26 ignored and zero failed, plus four archive tests; all 5,552 HD frames validated with zero rejects and 45 mods/one override. Unicode portable launcher, finite gameplay/phase/shop and 44,100 Hz stereo/SFX captures passed, with 261,804/189,658 nonzero samples. This is dated H5552 evidence, not native H5567 execution. No native Windows H5567 result is inferred. Earlier art HOLDs, actual failures, provider refusals and dated runtime checks remain intact. Actual pre-push checkpoint.

All 307 native AGX/font records remain separately preserved. Current branch codex/rust-rewrite; Root owns assembly/Git and coordinator routes remaining 186 artwork/reviews. No campaign or economy changes.

Earlier H5552 checkpoint — retained historical observation

Current artwork/runtime checkpoint — 18 October 2026: the optional HD pack contains 5,552 reviewed pictures in 3,671 complete sequences, including 4,388 Terrain pictures. 201 originals still await approval: 147 Terrain, 50 enemies and ground objects, and four UI/other pictures. All 249 boss pictures are reviewed; complete Original-art coverage remains unfinished.

This append adds the complete WORMDN8 family 3001e–30025, the complete SHIP20G2 family 200c4–200c7 and quiet brown Terrain 2039b. Their derived outputs and declared parent lineage remain distinct from untouched generator returns. SHIP20 restores 27 Original logical yellow-tip cells (0/7/13/7 across phases); those Source samples are not generated HD detail.

WORMDN has complete intrinsic and fresh catalogue/caller-absence review, with no invented phase clock, World, Host or shadow. Its continuous folds/opening progression, wetter brighter lip relief, native1 softness and Source-stepped contours remain qualified; stationary derived RGBA equality is not an exact native backing claim. SHIP20 has four consecutive genuine phase endpoints in one actual World, retaining fixed H5521 physical pixels and a separate finite58 actual H5539 input carry. Terrain2039b has two genuine intact positions, one legal settled-neighbor endpoint and one ordered comparison; its fixed H5521 pixels have a separate finite10 H5539 input carry. Twelve reverse contexts remain metadata-only. Quiet dark brown versus brighter sharper neighbors, value/grain rectangles, native1 softness, stronger metal relief and Source tip-step limits remain literal. No all-placement, seamless, full-route survival, current Host or performance claim follows. Old HOLDs/refusals/failures stay unchanged.

Actual assembly contains 9,980 data files / 8,462,418,176 bytes. The 134-file increment is the exact shipped three-job membership, not enclosing private history. Old native headers, Source bindings, artwork and declared runtime payloads remain exact. The first preflight rejected the valid mixed-case SHIP job ID before any stage or registrar main. Root preserved that failure and explicitly authorized a second preflight with the independently reviewed case-safe guard; one private registrar main then succeeded. This was a manual continuation, not an automatic retry or rollback.

Actual installed validation accepts all 5,552 frames with zero rejects and validates 45 mods with one override. Three fresh 1920×1080 software-SDL controls—menu, Original Sector 1 Wave 7 and Sector 3 Wave 9—each exited successfully with empty stderr. The operator and Root personally reviewed all three complete screens. All PNG bytes and decoded RGB/alpha planes match actual H5539 exactly, with zero changed pixels across 6,220,800 pixels. These fixed controls do not establish that any of the 13 new pictures appeared; known mixed terrain textures and Source-stepped shadows remain visible.

The reviewed SHIP cleanup dispatcher is included; all 162 maintained cleanup/registration tests passed with synthetic assets. SourceF18, both binaries, Mission 2 version1.0.3, all45 mods and existing palette opt-ins are unchanged. Historical engine/campaign tests and native Windows results keep their exact dated scope. The exact f3b30df0 H5539 native Windows run 39090342653 was still in progress at the saved 02:56:50 UTC observation, with native build/package active and no observed failed step. This is pending metadata, not completed test, HD, mod or PCM totals. Earlier e0d114e6 H5521 success remains dated separately. No native Windows H5552 result is inferred. The backlog, completion ledger and runtime evidence preserve exact authorities and limitations. Actual pre-push checkpoint; Git history records later publication.

All307 native AGX/font records remain separately preserved. Current branch codex/rust-rewrite; Root owns assembly/Git, the coordinator routes remaining201 artwork and independent reviews. This artwork batch changes no campaign/economy behavior. Current remaining ownership is retained in the ledger, with fresh allocations requiring current coordinator handoff.

Earlier H5539 checkpoint — retained historical observation

Current artwork/runtime checkpoint — 18 October 2026: the optional HD pack contains 5,539 reviewed pictures in 3,668 complete sequences, including 4,387 Terrain pictures. 214 originals still await approval: 148 Terrain, 54 enemies and ground objects, and 12 UI/other pictures. All 249 boss pictures are reviewed; complete Original-art coverage remains unfinished.

This append adds only Terrain: the two selected singletons 2038f and 20390 version 2, plus the complete 16-picture organic forest family 2061d–2062c. All 18 are reproducible Source-guided derived artwork using retained generated-parent material, not untouched generator returns. The 20390 version 2 recipe explicitly declares its two donors; its older held artifact is unchanged.

Different intrinsic/context review covers all 16 forest boards and 16 representative neighborhoods, covering 137 of 377 exact joins among 230 placements; Root sampled four actual-scale intrinsic boards and four context endpoints after viewing all 16 high-resolution preview panes. The two small tiles have 46 genuine contexts and 26 ordered comparison views of five neighbor events; Root sampled four contexts. Those physical pixels retain their fixed H5500 epoch, with separate actual H5521 finite39/finite18 input-equality carries. No all-placement, seamless-join, current Host or performance approval follows. Dark soft forest versus sharper/brighter foreign foliage, brown litter, reflected donor clusters, denser fine grain, native1 quietness and coarse/fine value rectangles remain explicit qualifications. All old HOLDs, failed attempts and provider refusals remain attached to their original artifacts.

Actual assembly contains 9,846 data files / 8,448,665,167 bytes. Exactly 106 new job files (forest53, SAFE2038f26 and SAFE20390V2 27) plus 15 genuine archival JSON receipts (125,486 bytes) form the 121-path increment. All old native headers, artwork and declared runtime payloads remain exact. The 13 historical sibling bindings and eight prior QA receipts were already declared and authenticated at H5521. The 15 additional archive bodies are Root-elected self-contained evidence, not required by registration and not new artwork or QA. Existing W archive bytes/inodes/modes/mtimes and the immutable prior H5521 pack remain unchanged. Small2 uses the SAFE metadata successor and authenticated hash projection of its original inline-image receipt; no artwork or QA was rerun.

Actual installed validation accepts all 5,539 frames with zero rejects and validates 45 mods with one override. Three fresh 1920×1080 software-SDL controls—menu, Original Sector1Wave7 and Sector3Wave9—each exited successfully with empty stderr. The operator and Root personally reviewed all three whole screens. All PNG bytes and decoded RGB/alpha planes match actual H5521 exactly (zero changed pixels across6,220,800 pixels). These finite presentation controls do not prove that any of the18new Terrain pictures appeared; known mixed texture resolution and Source-stepped shadows remain visible.

The reviewed terrain-group helper and portable fixture/test files are included; the maintained cleanup/registration tool suite passed 157 tests using synthetic assets. SourceF18, both binaries, Mission 2 version 1.0.3, the 45 mod packages and existing palette opt-ins are unchanged. Earlier engine and campaign tests retain their dated scopes.

Native Windows history is explicit: 00304e25 failed H5500 packaging after 401 passing tests/26 ignored. The exact 6b1a2629 H5500 archive-fix run subsequently passed 401 tests/26 ignored, four archive tests, 5,500 HD frames with zero rejects and 45 mods/one override. Its mixed/SFX captures contained 261,807/189,554 nonzero samples; those are dated capture measurements, not whole-campaign audio/performance guarantees. The exact e0d114e6 H5521 native Windows run also succeeded: 401 tests passed/26 ignored/zero failed plus four archive tests, HD5521/zero rejects and45mods/one override. Unicode portable launcher, paid repair/phase/shop/StageII checks and44100Hz132300-frame stereo/SFX captures passed; mixed/SFX nonzero samples were261900/206386. This remains dated H5521 evidence. No native Windows H5539 execution is inferred. The backlog, completion ledger and runtime evidence keep exact authorities and limitations. Actual pre-push checkpoint; Git history records later publication.

The 307 native AGX cinematic/font records remain preserved separately. This artwork append changes no mission, weapon, objective or paid-shop behavior.

Earlier H5521 checkpoint — retained historical observation

Current artwork/runtime checkpoint — 18 October 2026: the optional HD pack contains 5,521 reviewed pictures in 3,650 complete sequences, including 4,369 Terrain pictures. 232 originals still await approval: 166 Terrain, 54 enemies and ground objects, and 12 UI/other pictures. All 249 boss pictures are reviewed; complete Original-art coverage remains unfinished.

This append adds five Enemy pictures (200bf, 10315–10316, 1033e–1033f), six Terrain pictures (203b5, 203b6, 203b9, 203bb, 20395, 20399), and ten UI/other pictures (102f7, 10126, complete WORMLEFT 4002e–40035). Nineteen are reproducible derived cleanups of retained generated parents; 20395 and 20399 reuse the exact reviewed Source-equivalent 203a7 artwork. Derived outputs are not untouched generator returns.

The five Enemy pictures have controlled-pose reviews, not full natural-wave or current Host coverage. The four new-material Terrain pictures have 32 genuine endpoints and five ordered neighbor-event views; Root sampled four endpoints and independent review covers the finite full set. Alias 20395 has eight genuine endpoints and three ordered views of one neighbor event; 20399 remains catalogue-only. 10126 has a Source-authentic legacy ORDER template review, not an executed legacy GUI or current Rust Host screen. ICON22 and WORMLEFT have complete intrinsic/caller-absence review; no Original spawn, clock or World is invented. Literal functional Original samples and static-boundary variation retain their explicit limits and are not generated HD. All earlier material HOLDs, failed attempts and provider refusals remain attached to their original artifacts.

Actual assembly contains 9,725 data files / 8,435,456,792 bytes. The 221-file increment consists of exactly 214 new job files plus seven restored genuine historical QA JSON receipts. Old native headers, Source bindings and prior artwork bytes remain exact; restoring old receipt files is not new QA or new artwork. Private registrar attempts, including the failed first attempt before canonical writes, remain separately recorded.

Actual installed validation accepts all 5,521 frames with zero rejects and validates 45 mods with one override. Three fresh 1920×1080 software-SDL controls—menu, Original Sector 1 Wave 7 and Sector 3 Wave 9—each exited successfully and were personally reviewed as whole screens by the operator and Root. All three PNGs and decoded RGB/alpha planes are byte-identical to actual H5500 (zero changed pixels). These fixed presentation controls do not prove that any of the 21 new pictures appeared; existing mixed texture resolutions and Source-stepped shadows remain visible.

Maintained cleanup/registration tools passed 130 tests; the four ZIP-selection/relocation tests are separate. SourceF18, both binaries, Mission 2 version 1.0.3, all 45 mod packages and the nine palette opt-ins are unchanged. Earlier engine, campaign and artwork checks retain their dated scopes.

Native Windows history is explicit: H5500 at 00304e25 passed 401 tests with 26 ignored, then failed HD packaging because 15 derived routes were omitted; later mod/PCM/Stage II checks were not reached. Packaging fix 6b1a2629 preserves every manifest-required data route. The exact H5500 archive-fix run39085892624 was still pending at the dated supplied observation; no success is inferred. No native Windows H5521 execution is claimed here. The backlog, completion ledger and runtime evidence keep the exact authorities and limitations. Actual pre-push checkpoint; Git history records later publication.

The 307 native AGX cinematic/font records remain preserved separately. Iron Coast retains its published retune, Mission 2 version 1.0.3 and dated campaign evidence; this artwork append changes no mission, weapon or shop behavior.

Earlier H5500 checkpoint — retained historical observation

Current artwork/runtime checkpoint — 18 October 2026: the optional HD pack contains 5,500 reviewed pictures in 3,638 complete sequences, including 4,363 Terrain pictures. 253 originals still await approval: 172 Terrain, 59 enemies and ground objects, and 22 UI/other pictures. All 249 boss pictures are reviewed; the full original-art backlog remains open.

This append adds one boss picture (200a2), three Terrain pictures (20400, 20403, 20406), the complete three-frame DSHP20G3 family and the complete eight-frame WORMRITE family. All 15 published PNGs are explicitly derived scripted cleanups of retained generated parents. Their methods preserve continuous generated RGB or coherent parent texture while using Source geometry and declared functional color cues. They are not untouched generator returns.

Boss and Terrain reviews have distinct finite context scopes. The 11 DSHP/WORM catalogue graphics have complete-family intrinsic review and Source caller-absence evidence; that review carries no Original spawn, clock or World occurrence claim. The boss has two historical controlled-pose recompositions. Terrain review covers 39 genuine endpoints and one private self-repeat endpoint for 20400, with 25 ordered comparisons; the private endpoint is not an Original-map occurrence. Earlier WORM, boss and Terrain source-only/v3 HOLDs remain attached to their older artifacts.

Validation accepts all 5,500 frames with zero rejects, plus 45 mods with one override. Three installed-game SDL controls exited successfully and measured identical PNG, RGB and alpha output against H5485 across 6,220,800 pixels. Both the independent reviewer and Root viewed all three complete 1920 × 1080 screens; these controls carry no claim that the new pictures appeared.

The maintained cleanup and registration tools pass 101 tests; the final TARGT guard successor passes 12 separately (113 total). TARGT14 artwork is not admitted by this batch.

SourceF, both binaries, Mission 2 version 1.0.3 and the nine palette opt-ins remain unchanged. The latest closed native Windows result is SourceF H5485 at f9f17e35: 401 passed, 26 ignored and none failed. It is dated evidence for that earlier artwork package. Existing runtime and campaign checks keep their original scopes. The backlog, completion ledger and runtime evidence record current authorities and limits. Validated package checkpoint; Git history records publication.

The assembled data contains 9,504 files / 8,407,923,443 bytes. The 307 native AGX cinematic/font records remain preserved separately. Iron Coast retains its published retune, Mission 2 version 1.0.3 and 65-test campaign evidence; see Iron Coast retune evidence. This artwork append changes no mission, weapon or shop behavior.

Windows package follow-up: the exact H5500 run at 00304e25 passed 401 tests (26 ignored, zero failed), then rejected the 15 new picture routes because the ZIP filter skipped directories named derived. Mod, PCM and Stage II checks after that HD guard did not run. Both ZIP builders now require every runtime-manifest data file to survive archive selection and fail if any required route is missing. A new synthetic ZIP/relocation check covers the failure; a fresh native Windows result remains pending. Failed native run.

Earlier 5,339-frame checkpoint — retained historical observation

HD continuation checkpoint at 5,339 frames — 17 October 2026

The self-contained RustRaptor folder includes 5,339 original HD pictures / 3,512 complete sequences, including 4,242 terrain pictures. Its 9,323 data files / 8,150,528,285 bytes match the runtime manifest. This update adds the complete four-frame turret 3001a–3001d and tank 30078–3007b, plus terrain 10525, 1052a, 20402 and 206a0. Separate source, material, scene and native metadata reviews passed. That artwork update preserves previous data and artwork. It is published as 1bc0a9ce; the subsequent runtime rebuild is described below.

The requested 97-picture batch is published as a45abc58. The previous 5,327-frame revision, afbf119, passed native Windows CI: 341 tests passed, zero failed, 26 ignored. HD/mod validation, Unicode-folder relocation, gameplay and mixed/SFX-only stereo audio captures passed. This new 5,339-frame revision requires its own post-push Windows check.

414 original pictures remain: 293 terrain, 79 enemies/ground objects, 35 UI/other and seven bosses. Complete HD coverage remains unfinished. Artwork holds and actual service refusals do not count as remasters. Forty-five further terrain proposals passed separate material review; their source-driven scene checks are being prepared. Additional terrain and missing boss artwork is active.

The joint terrain scenes include both selected tiles. Tank/turret review covers all 15 visible scene/scales; four captured scenes are normal player death transitions, with no full-route survival claim. Fully clipped cases retain their explicit limits. Source shadows, animation order and original collision dimensions remain unchanged.

The optional retained-Original-detail implementation is now applied and rebuilt in the included Linux and Windows executables. Its exact source passed independent review and 70 unique private Rust tests; all 31 Python policy/rounding tests also pass against the shared files. The new Linux executable validates all 5,339 HD frames with zero rejects. Menu, S1 Wave 7 and S3 Wave 9 software-SDL captures at 1080p are byte-identical to the pre-change references, with 6,220,800 pixels compared. Windows compilation, PE imports and complete shared-data hashes pass; native Windows execution remains a separate post-push CI check.

No approved picture has enabled the new detail policy yet. Four sampler continuity cases and the genuine 10511 hybrid terrain scene checks are in progress. Original painted samples retained by this policy will be distinguished from generated HD detail. Existing artwork holds remain in force. Current rebuild receipts and the actual Source18/library epoch are in .reference/hd-root-painted0255-shared-cutover-20261017/.

Root owns assembly, README, this checkpoint and Git publication; coordinator owns the four HD coverage documents. Current receipts are in .reference/hd-root-next-publication-after5327/; immutable intake is handoff-5339-20261014. Preserve original data, generated artwork and review evidence. Avoid duplicate full-data copies; builds and review production must respect the available disk space.

Earlier checkpoint at 5,327 frames — retained historical observation

HD continuation checkpoint at 5,327 frames — 14 October 2026

The self-contained RustRaptor folder includes 5,327 original HD pictures / 3,506 complete sequences, including 4,238 terrain pictures. Its 9,317 data files / 8,132,823,121 bytes match the runtime manifest. This update adds the classic help image 10125 and terrain 2018d / 2018e, after independent source, material, complete scene and native metadata reviews. All earlier artwork, original data, engine source and executables remain unchanged. The bundled validators pass: 5,327 HD frames with zero rejects and 45 mods with one override. Windows executable and DLL import checks pass.

The requested 97-picture batch is published as a45abc58; subsequent reviewed updates are published as 6d51727 and a91f227. The exact 5,324-frame revision passed native Windows CI: 341 tests passed, zero failed, 26 ignored. HD/mod validation, Unicode-folder relocation, gameplay and mixed/SFX-only stereo audio captures passed. This 5,327-frame revision needs its separate post-push Windows check.

426 original pictures remain: 297 terrain, 87 enemies/ground objects, 35 UI/other and seven bosses. Complete HD coverage remains unfinished. Artwork holds and actual service refusals are recorded and do not count as remasters. New coherent terrain, ship and worm animation revisions are active. Fourteen further terrain proposals passed independent material review and are awaiting their source-driven scene checks; two sibling proposals stay held.

The four-frame turret and tank sequences, and terrain 1052a, 10525, 206a0 and 20402, continue through their remaining admission checks. Joint terrain and enemy scenes are reviewed with both proposed assets present. The tank captures include four normal player death-transition scenes; the review does not claim full-route survival. The turret has twelve genuine phase captures. Successful technical construction precedes independent visual review and final native registration checks.

The optional retained-Original-detail implementation passed independent source review, 70 unique private Rust tests and 31 Python checks. It has not changed the shipped engine or artwork. It preserves explicitly selected original painted palette samples, including tiny animated lights, and distinguishes those retained samples from generated HD detail. A deliberate engine cutover and independent hybrid asset reviews remain pending.

Root owns assembly, README, this checkpoint and Git publication; coordinator owns registration and the four HD coverage documents. Current receipts are in .reference/hd-root-next-publication-after5324/; immutable intake is handoff-5327-20261014. Preserve original data, generated artwork and review evidence. Avoid duplicate full-data copies; only unused rebuildable debug caches have been removed to recover space.

Earlier checkpoint at 5,324 frames — retained historical observation

HD continuation checkpoint at 5,324 frames — 14 October 2026

The self-contained RustRaptor folder now includes 5,324 original HD pictures / 3,503 complete sequences, including 4,236 terrain pictures. Its 9,314 data files / 8,127,592,749 bytes match the runtime manifest. The new terrain picture 1054c passed separate source/material, all-scale mission-context and native metadata reviews. All previous artwork, original data, engine source, executables and dependencies remain unchanged. Both bundled validators pass: 5,324 HD frames with zero rejects, and 45 mods with one override.

The requested 97-picture batch is published as a45abc58; the subsequent 91-picture update is published as 6d51727. That exact 5,323-frame build passed native Windows CI: 341 tests passed, zero failed, 26 ignored. HD/mod validation, Unicode-folder relocation, gameplay and mixed/SFX-only stereo audio captures passed. The new 5,324-frame revision needs its separate post-push Windows check.

429 original pictures remain: 299 terrain, 87 enemies/ground objects, 36 UI/other and seven bosses. Complete coverage remains unfinished. Many terrain drafts need further material or shape corrections; actual service refusals and artwork holds remain recorded and do not count as remasters.

Work continues on the four-frame turret and tank sequences, terrain 2018d, 2018e, 1052a, 10525, 206a0, 20402, and interface image 10125. Their stages remain separate: successful scene construction is followed by independent visual review and native registration checks. The tank evidence includes four scenes during the normal player death transition, without a full-route survival claim. The turret has twelve genuine phase captures.

The optional retained-Original-detail implementation has passed private Rust and Python checks and independent source review. It has not changed the shipped engine or artwork. Retained Original samples are explicitly distinguished from generated HD detail, and each use still needs an independent hybrid review. New terrain and enemy revision batches are running alongside these admissions.

Root owns assembly, README, this checkpoint and Git publication; coordinator owns registration and the four HD coverage documents. Current receipts are in .reference/hd-root-next-publication-after5323/; immutable intake is handoff-5324-20261014. Preserve original data, generated artwork and review evidence. Only unused rebuildable debug caches were removed to recover space.

Earlier checkpoint at 5,323 frames — retained historical observation

The next reviewed release adds 90 terrain pictures and one ground enemy: 5,323 original HD pictures / 3,502 complete sequences, including 4,235 terrain pictures. All 9,313 data files / 8,124,102,872 bytes match the runtime manifest. All 5,323 supplied frames validated with zero rejections; 45 mods and one override validated. The original catalog, all prior artwork, source, executables and dependencies remain unchanged. Windows PE and DLL import checks passed; its manifest's HD count alone changed.

The previous 97-picture batch is already published as a45abc58. The preceding 5,232-frame revision, b40c4eb3, passed its own native Windows workflow: 341 tests, zero failures, 26 ignored; complete HD/mod validation, Unicode-folder relocation, gameplay, music and nonzero sound-effect captures passed. The new 5,323-frame revision requires its separate post-push Windows confirmation.

430 original pictures remain: 300 terrain, 87 enemies/ground objects, 36 UI/other and seven bosses. Drafts that omit original details remain held. Complete HD coverage and wider playtesting are still work in progress.

The 88 terrain frames completed all 4,666 endpoint reviews, Source ordered-state checks, the affected 3042e context rebase, independent native metadata and registration audits. Historical RGB-only context limits and recovered artwork provenance gaps remain explicit. Ground enemy 200b2 completed its 16 gameplay context views; terrain 30432/30443 completed 117 context compositions and an independent native metadata audit. These reviewed assets are now included.

Further work continues on the four-frame turret and tank sequences, terrain 1054c, 2018d/2018e, 1052a, 10525 and 206a0, and interface artwork. The turret has twelve genuine phase captures; its scene render is reviewed separately. The tank's changed legal controller captured all twelve phase and shadow witnesses, including four during the normal player death transition; this is actor/shadow evidence, without a full-route survival claim. Earlier pre-spawn failures remain preserved. Context rendering and independent visual review are still pending. A source-detail fallback and explicit extraction proposals remain separate work, and do not count as generated remasters. Existing artwork holds and service refusals remain recorded.

Root owns assembly, README, this checkpoint and Git publication. Coordinator owns canonical registration and the four HD coverage documents. Root receipts are in .reference/hd-root-next-publication-after5232/; the immutable approved intake is handoff-5323-20261014. Preserve originals, generated artwork and frozen review evidence. Avoid duplicate full-data copies.

Earlier checkpoint at 5,232 frames — retained historical observation

HD continuation checkpoint at 5,232 frames — 14 October 2026

The self-contained bundle now includes independently reviewed terrain 10544 and 20650: 5,232 original HD pictures / 3,411 complete sequences, including 4,145 terrain pictures. All 9,240 data files / 7,879,384,961 bytes match the runtime manifest. All 5,232 HD frames validated with zero rejected frames; 45 mods and one override validated. Both executables, their dependencies, the original catalog and all previous artwork remain unchanged. The Windows PE checks passed; only its approved-data count changed.

The preceding 5,230-frame revision, 895e2f7c, is published and its native Windows workflow passed 341 tests, zero failures and 26 ignored. Its HD pack and mods validated; relocated gameplay, music and sound-effect capture checks passed. This new 5,232-frame update needs its own post-push Windows confirmation.

521 original pictures remain: 390 terrain, 88 enemies/ground objects, 36 UI/other and seven bosses. Held candidates remain excluded.

Current work and recovery points:

  • The next 88 terrain pictures have all 4,666 endpoint cases reviewed at native scales 1–4, including independent supplements for reviewers' own artwork. Source validation covers every ordered-state witness. Direct paired reviews are counted separately; 29 retained-alias provenance limits receive bounded follow-up. The four contexts affected by 3042e have passed their additional review. These 88 pictures are not yet registered or bundled.
  • Enemy 200b2 passed all 16 saved gameplay-context views. Its successful compositor output and the budget failure are preserved; a separate lossless page encoder recovered the review pages without rerendering. Native metadata preparation is next.
  • Terrain 30432/30443 passed the focused constructor code review after fixing expected coverage diagnostics and source bindings. Construction remains pending. Turret 3001a–3001d has eight genuine Wave 2 phase captures; the Wave 7 test pilot died before the required placement. A separately reviewed legal firing controller is ready; survival is not yet demonstrated.
  • Tank 30078–3007b, terrain 1054c and retained 2018e are advancing through distinct material/context checks. Repairs 2018d and 1052a have improved author proposals awaiting independent judgments. Boat, boss, rotor and shoreline attempts that still lose original details remain held.
  • Further terrain and interface edits continue in small exclusive batches. Successful image generation does not imply approval. A Source-preserved detail rendering option has been proposed for fragile contours; it is not implemented, and the current renderer remains unchanged.

Root owns runtime assembly, README, this checkpoint and Git publication. Coordinator owns canonical registration and the four HD coverage documents. Current Root receipts are in .reference/hd-root-next-publication-after5230/; the immutable reviewed intake is handoff-5232-20261014. Preserve originals, untouched generated artwork and frozen evidence; avoid duplicate full-data copies.

Earlier checkpoint at 5,230 frames — retained historical observation

The reviewed 97-picture batch is published as a45abc58; the additional ground sprite is published as c84b80cc on codex/rust-rewrite. The latter revision's native Windows workflow passed 341 tests, zero failures and 26 ignored tests. Its 5,229 HD frames and 45 mods validated, the relocated Windows package ran, and both music and sound-effect captures contained nonzero audio. These automated results do not claim a hardware playthrough or a listening review.

The portable bundle now adds reviewed terrain 3042e: 5,230 original HD pictures / 3,409 complete sequences, including 4,143 terrain pictures. All 9,238 data files / 7,874,014,729 bytes match the shared runtime manifest. The original catalog, all previous artwork and both executables are unchanged. Source, independent material and 25 complete context reviews, native metadata, registration and Root packaging checks passed. Finer grain, stronger relief, quiet small-scale details and mixed Original/HD texture patches remain documented. All 5,230 HD frames validated with zero rejects; 45 mods and one override also validated. The Windows PE/import checks passed. Publication follows the final document review; this update’s own Windows workflow is observed separately.

523 original pictures remain: 392 terrain, 88 enemies/ground objects, 36 UI/other and seven bosses. Unapproved drafts are excluded from the bundle.

Work continues in parallel:

  • The next 88 terrain pictures have completed technical construction. Independent reviewers continue the remaining page groups and reviews excluded from their own artwork. Four contexts affected by the newly added terrain are being prepared for a small additional check; no whole-batch approval is claimed.
  • Terrain 10544 passed its complete 35-context review; native metadata is next. 20650 passed Root’s different review of all eight complete context pages; its native metadata is being prepared. Enemy 200b2 has a genuine capture of an alive enemy and its normal death, ready for the minimum HD scene checks.
  • Terrain 30432/30443 and the four turret frames 3001a–3001d passed independent material review. Their missing context work remains separate.
  • The previously stalled enemy worker is running again. Its exclusive next jobs cover original 1033c and the complete two-frame 2009a/2009b rotor sequence. Further source-backed corrections continue; weak results and service refusals remain held.

Root evidence for this update is in .reference/hd-root-next-publication-after5229/. Only ignored, rebuildable incremental compiler caches were removed for space; all artwork, originals, review evidence, libraries and packaged binaries remain.

Approved ground sprite and ongoing terrain review — 14 October 2026

The reviewed 97-picture terrain batch is published as a45abc58a00b70a82b18d0b4ee333995c1257a22 on codex/rust-rewrite. Its native Windows workflow passed: 341 tests, zero failures, 26 ignored; all 5,228 HD pictures and 45 mods validated. The relocated package and both mixed-audio and sound-effect captures passed their automated checks. Root independently authenticated the actual log, run and job. No hardware, listening or full-playthrough approval is implied.

The local self-contained bundle now adds approved ground object 40087, giving 5,229 HD pictures / 3,408 complete sequences. The original catalog, previous artwork and both executables are unchanged. All 9,237 data files match the shared runtime manifest. The complete metadata, source, independent material, saved-scene review and canonical registration gates passed. Its native1 warning strips use the existing nearest-sampling option; stronger relief, fine wear and visible backing texture remain disclosed. The earlier default-sampling HOLD is preserved. Root's new packaging evidence is in .reference/hd-root-next-publication-after5228/.

524 original pictures remain: 393 terrain, 88 enemies/ground objects, 36 UI/other and seven bosses. Private candidates remain excluded.

Workers are active and continuing:

  • The next 88 terrain candidates have completed all 25 constructor jobs: 3,806 selected, 585 state-before and 275 Original-control compositions. Different reviewers are inspecting disjoint complete page groups. Physical review, native metadata, admission and publication are still pending.
  • Terrain 3042e passed different material and all 25 context-page reviews. Its native metadata helper and actual5229 source-binding rebase are being prepared; it is not yet bundled.
  • Repairs 10544, 20650 and 200b2 passed different intrinsic review. Their minimum context plans are saved; construction and review remain. 30432 and 30443 are artist-qualified proposals awaiting different review.
  • The four-frame turret family 3001a–3001d is in different material review. Further source-backed quality iterations continue. Failed contour repairs and actual generation refusals remain held and are not counted as remasters.

Root owns runtime packaging and Git publication; coordinator owns registration and the four HD coverage documents. Disk space is tight, so preserve all original artwork and frozen evidence and avoid duplicate full-data copies. The older chapters below describe earlier checkpoints.

Historical 97-picture HD bundle checkpoint — 14 October 2026

The self-contained RustRaptor bundle now contains 5,228 approved HD pictures in 3,407 complete sequences, including 4,142 terrain pictures. This release adds the reviewed 97 terrain pictures as six-, 29- and 62-picture portions. The independent metadata audits, source/material/context reviews, canonical registration and immutable handoff are complete. Original data, previously approved artwork and the Linux/Windows executables are unchanged. The shared runtime manifest checks 9,236 data files / 7,868,469,682 bytes; the included Windows executable, SDL2 DLL and imports match their saved hashes. The actual bundled CLI validates 5,228 of5,228 HD pictures, zero rejects and all45 installed mods with one explicit override, both with exit0.

Root inspected whole 1920×1080 HD4 gameplay captures from Sector1 Wave6, Sector3 Wave2 and Sector3 Wave7. Ships, bullets, enemy effects and HUD remain legible with no apparent sprite clipping in those frames. Coarser original tiles still visibly differ from HD ground; these captures do not establish seamless all-HD terrain, a full campaign playthrough, hardware performance or listening approval. The exact 97 source/material/context reviews remain separate from these runtime screenshots. Publication receipts are retained in .reference/hd-root-next-publication-after5131/.

525 original pictures remain without an approved bundled HD remaster: 393 terrain, 89 enemies/ground objects, 36 UI/other and seven boss pictures. Existing drafts, held repairs and private review candidates are not counted. The full project therefore remains unfinished. The previous 5,131-picture release passed native Windows CI; the workflow for this new release must be observed separately after its push.

Workers resumed successfully and are continuing these areas:

  • Next88 terrain candidates: the exact source plan is frozen. Independent review found missing fresh-run and exclusive sequential-shard guards; a separate constructor successor is being prepared. Actual 5,228-neighbor reconciliation, construction, different visual review and admission remain. Check disk space before the large review corpus; preserve frozen old evidence.
  • Original ground object40087: the corrected current-library constructor compiled and produced the three saved scenes. A different reviewer inspected all12 whole native pages and qualified them. The source-bound nearest20 option retains original logical geometry and uses the untouched HD master. Its one-picture metadata helper needs independent code review and actual 5,228-neighbor equality reconciliation before admission. Earlier failed compile/environment attempts and the default-sampling HOLD remain recorded.
  • Terrain3042e: one local repair restored separate formations and passed different intrinsic material review. Its source-only minimum context plan contains25 unique recipes. Actual 5,228 reconciliation and current-library context construction/review remain outstanding.
  • Other artwork: recent1053e,200bf,200b2 and300a6 edits produced preserved new masters and native QA, but remain held for lost source details or off-focus changes. No held candidate entered this bundle. Continue concrete source-backed quality iterations and different review; do not hide defects with source-color copies, mask erasure or arbitrary crop fitting. Actual image-policy refusals stay excluded from automatic retries.

Root owns runtime packaging, Git review and publication. Coordinator owns external canonical registration and the four HD coverage documents. Keep original/generated raw assets and prior results; resume each worker's actual checkpoint. Never treat a proposed activation as an executed result. Older chapters below remain historical.

Current completion status — 14 October 2026

The full project is not complete. The playable, self-contained Rust build, Linux and Windows executables, original data, mod packages and approved artwork are tracked in this RustRaptor Git repository. The latest game/art release is 3d14af205733c26a58084f4f27c3ef2bd4a7868d, published on codex/rust-rewrite at Quintine/RustRaptor.

The bundled pack actually contains 5,131 approved HD pictures / 3,310 complete sequences, including 4,045 terrain pictures. Runtime metadata reports 9,139 data files. 622 original pictures still lack an approved bundled HD remaster: 490 terrain, 89 enemies/ground objects, 36 UI/other and seven boss pictures. Existing drafts and private candidates are not counted as completed.

The exact published release's native Windows workflow succeeded. Root independently confirmed the completed GitHub run and job, then checked the retained actual job log: 341 tests passed, zero failed, 26 ignored; 5,131 HD frames validated with zero rejects; 45 mods and one override validated. The packaged Unicode relocation and SDL gameplay checks passed. Captured mixed audio and music-muted sound effects each contain nonzero PCM samples at 44.1kHz. These are automated checks, not complete human playthrough or hardware/listening approval. Root's saved confirmation is .reference/hd-root-next-publication-after5131/root-3d14af20-native-windows-confirmation.json.

The latest workers stopped with account usage-limit errors. Their saved results survived; they are not continuing in the background. At the status check, Git was clean, the remote branch matched 3d14af20, and the following work remained:

  • Next 97 terrain pictures: source and different visual context reviews are closed, including the final 40 combined contexts and repaired 10531/10535. Actual six-picture private metadata is audited. The 29-picture private writer completed once with 149 preserved files, but its independent final audit is unfinished. The separate 62-picture metadata successor, independent review, canonical registration, immutable handoff, runtime assembly, desktop review and Git publication remain unfinished. The proposed total of 5,228 is not the current game bundle.
  • Another 88 terrain candidates: joint source plans and the zero-additional prospective-97 impact are saved. Constructor preparation is unfinished; independent code review, actual composition shards, visual reviews, metadata and publication remain outstanding. Keep current and proposed foreign art bindings distinct. Check free disk before producing the large review corpus.
  • Original ground object 40087: the existing nearest-sampling option has qualified intrinsic artwork and reviewed three-scene constructor code. Root's exact compile/construction activation is saved, but the new actual-run directory does not exist. Compilation, actual scene output, different visual review and admission remain outstanding; no scene success is claimed.
  • Other original art: held enemy, boss, interface and terrain repairs remain. Latest 10536, 2054e, 2068f, 3007c and 30089 attempts retain explicit visual holds. Distinct 1053e/3042e and another enemy repair preflights were interrupted. Recover saved job/terminal histories before calling generation or writers.

Root owns Git and runtime packaging; the coordinator owns external canonical metadata and the four HD coverage documents. Preserve original/generated raw assets and all existing review results. Resume existing workers from their actual checkpoints, verify partially written preparations, and do not treat a planned activation or draft as an executed or approved result. The older notes below are historical; the counts and Windows result above take precedence.

Restart checkpoint — 13 October 2026

The latest power outage interrupted the HD review workers, but their completed outputs and the next playable asset bundle survived. The Git root is this RustRaptor folder on branch codex/rust-rewrite, with public remote Quintine/RustRaptor. The last confirmed publication is 5224219771538ef420fefdcb4ac5e671ff76a06a, containing 5,069 reviewed original pictures. Its native Windows workflow 38279526351 passed 341 tests, loaded all 5,069 HD frames with zero rejects, validated all 45 mods, and passed Unicode relocation, SDL gameplay and mixed/SFX-only PCM checks. These automated results do not establish hardware or listening quality.

The recovered next bundle contains 5,131 reviewed pictures / 3,310 complete sequences, including 4,045 terrain pictures. It adds 62 source-native terrain singletons. Both bundled executables and the Rust source remain unchanged. Actual packaged CLI validation passed all 5,131 frames with zero rejects and 45 mods / one override. Root reviewed five full 1080p screenshots before the outage and two additional original Sector 3 Wave 2/7 screenshots after recovery. Visible texture differences where HD meets original terrain remain documented; complete visual coverage is still in progress. At this checkpoint the 5,131 publication and its native Windows workflow are pending. Later publication receipts take precedence over this recorded observation.

622 original pictures remain: 490 terrain, 89 enemies/ground objects, 36 UI/other and seven boss pictures. Of the remaining terrain, 168 have qualified material candidates awaiting context, metadata or admission work; 322 retain concrete art holds, prior selection exclusions or actual tool refusals. A generated draft is not counted as an approved remaster. Permanent refusals and failed repair methods must remain visible, without automatic retry.

Recovered work is divided as follows:

Work Recovery owner / saved evidence
62-frame bundle, runtime validation and Git publication Root; .reference/hd-root-next-publication-after5069/
External registration and four HD coverage documents HD coordinator; .reference/hd-coordinator-compact62-canonical-registration-5131-20261013/
Six qualified terrain candidates Iron Coast 2 private metadata writer; Iron Coast 3 independent metadata audit; current 5,131 baseline
29 qualified terrain candidates Middle independent physical review of 63 changed compositions; Full's technical outputs are frozen
59 qualified terrain candidates Iron Coast 5 independent physical review of 313 compositions, followed by current-baseline source comparison
73 qualified terrain candidates Campaign release reviewer combines five source plans; Dark player closes six current intrinsic-QA gaps
Held terrain repairs Terrain sets 1/2 inspect histories and perform distinct local edits; Iron Coast 6 investigates existing sampling behavior
Native Windows Windows persistence observes the exact published commit; no duplicate large artifact download

Read the current HD coordinator checkpoint and coverage backlog for accepted counts and qualifications. Private review evidence lives in .reference/ and the external ../data/hd/ workspace; approved artwork, original game data, Linux/Windows executables and all authored mod media remain tracked inside this self-contained folder. Recover an existing terminal receipt before running a writer or image request again, and retain literal previous review roles and output hashes. Root owns Git and runtime packaging; the coordinator owns external canonical metadata and coverage docs.

The following 11 October checkpoint is preserved as historical evidence.

Earlier restart checkpoint — 11 October 2026

The shutdown interrupted the final coordinated stop before the unified note was written. Work is preserved on codex/rust-rewrite; no game, Cargo, review helper or packaging shell process remained at recovery. The image-generation gate was paused with zero active leases, and has now been resumed. Recover each worker from its existing outputs before submitting another generation request.

Repository relocation and GitHub

RustRaptor/ is now the Git root, including its .git/ metadata. Migration commit 8f45979 preserves history and is pushed to the public Quintine/RustRaptor repository on codex/rust-rewrite. Run all Git commands from RustRaptor/, with paths such as src/desktop.rs and docs/hd-backlog.md.

The user explicitly requested that the bundled game and data be included in Git. bin/, lib/, data/ and runtime-manifest.json are tracked; caches, review files and duplicate zip exports are ignored. All 6,566 runtime data hashes match in a fresh public GitHub checkout, which validates all 6,449 original catalog entries. Its SDL game also launched from /tmp using only the bundled library and an isolated profile. Pending source, mod and artwork-review work survived the relocation. See repository layout.

Engine and package

Current runtime and Stage 2 work

The current Linux and Windows runtimes include the reviewed 1,148-frame / 421-sequence HD snapshot and 6,848 data files, with unchanged original INDEX. Linux binary SHA-256 is 7e62ae1b0e8d18670a7c6c3d4f6419878f696f62ba4c7dd2ee9ebf7545f648de; Windows is 63d040f5d5c76bad15a74ab1ef54ca992a0fd9cd8b7a46f8506d8cce4fbec275. Checked script commands control nonlegacy boss animation frames and native impact-effect kinds. The renderer applies phase pins to sprites and both shadow layers; clearing a pin restores ordinary animation. Original effect serialization remains compatible. PNG activation fully decodes with the same limits while avoiding discarded palette conversion; all 6,682 referenced PNG outputs compare byte-identically and five rejection/output regressions pass.

Iron Coast II: Black Tide adds eight missions, eight bosses, three shared enemies, three original FM scores and two optional purchased weapons through 23 individual packages. Independent review completes the eight missions plus saved finale replay at difficulties 0–3 from registered-pilot starting gear, with paid repairs. The final root Veteran route saves/loads between nine wins and binds the documentation-only aggregate successor hash. All 34 Host artwork/shop/menu pictures are reviewed; the six changed phase pictures were inspected again and the other 28 remain byte-identical. Ordinary release suites pass 315 headless / 380 desktop tests, with 26/36 deliberate original-data and capture tests ignored. Corrected Linux/Windows archives pass full integrity, Unicode/space relocation, first/final mission 1080p rendering, separate music and effects recordings and the original intro's forced 4:3 framing. All 45 mod hashes match and combined catalog validation passes; the Windows CLI review's CSV-quoting correction is retained as a separate addendum. The corrected native Windows run also checks the eight-sortie saved route, displayed phases and both shadow layers, SD/HD shop captures and packaged MSVC audio/gameplay. Final documentation exports receive strict whole-archive successor checks requiring identical runtime, libraries, launchers, data and mods. Previous runtime receipts remain historical. Stage 2 design and validation and standalone packages record content, controls, prices and acceptance scope.

Original HD work continues under hd_coordinator; later approved candidates remain separate from the immutable packaged 1,148-frame snapshot. The paragraphs below preserve the earlier recovery and 800-frame package evidence.

Earlier package checkpoints

  • Windows support is now included: bin/raptor-rust.exe, adjacent SDL2.dll, run.cmd, runtime-windows-manifest.json and the Windows export tool/CI. The GNU executable SHA-256 is e414d2df745369115082439414099f528aca8457f9c58d1c1745eb1b511fc484. All 279 portable tests pass under Wine, including Windows save replacement; all 22 mod hashes match existing Linux save pins. Windows paths respect APPDATA/LOCALAPPDATA and mods preserve exact bytes through Git checkouts. The exported folder launches via run.cmd from /tmp after relocation to a path with spaces and Unicode; all hashes/mods validate. HD gameplay at 1080p, the original 4:3 intro and music-muted SDL sound-effect capture pass. Local evidence is in .reference/windows/. Native Windows CI also passes all 279 portable tests plus MSVC desktop/exported-folder checks at the build run. A second native run also verifies the exact committed GNU runtime and launcher before its MSVC build. The 800-frame native run passes all 279 tests and both runtime checks with the refreshed art and all mods. The Windows executable additionally runs Iron Coast mission 1 with all 22 mods enabled and captures its custom music. Hardware display/audio/controller checks remain manual; automated runs use SDL dummy drivers. See Windows build and validation. The tracked catalog now contains the immutable 800-frame reviewed snapshot while broader HD review continues.
  • Packaged executable now includes the c0a6fd3 reviewed source checkpoint, including diagnostics navigation and interpolated Lightning effects. Its SHA-256 is 4b4304f625381cbbf1331e126c62ca0913d49a52e7a35191f12e734067660e66. The original fdf2ff0 checkpoint supplied standalone RustRaptor, widescreen menus and always-4:3 original cinematics, including when gameplay stretching is selected. Fresh 1080p intro capture confirms black 240-pixel side borders.
  • RustRaptor/bin/raptor-rust, lib/, data/ and dist/RustRaptor-linux-x86_64.zip exist. The latest snapshot includes all 6,449 original assets, 800 approved HD frames and 22 local mods. It was launched from a copied folder containing spaces, from /tmp, without Cargo.
  • Before shutdown, 320 default tests, the complete 42-image menu/intro audit, separate cinematic aspect regression, mod/catalog/HD validation and copied 1280×800/1080p SDL/audio smoke checks passed. Later fixes require fresh checks.
  • Source navigation fixes are committed in 4b1edef; the terrain compositor fix is committed in ab23255; Lightning weapon/API packages and authored art/audio are committed in c0a6fd3. The refreshed package validates all 22 mods and 800 supplied HD frames. Desktop builds use the isolated target/desktop-runtime directory to avoid competing headless artifacts.

Next user fixes

  1. Mod/save diagnostics: parent and selection are now preserved when details are reopened. The Escape regression and fresh 42-capture screenshot audit pass, including repeated details, confirmation and back navigation.
  2. Installed mod rows now stay in ID order through toggles and priority changes, with dependency and confirmation behavior preserved. Navigation tests pass.
  3. Default Forward Guns still appear to miss miscellaneous buildings/cars. Actual original-data checks now cover all 889 destructible terrain definitions, 17 early wave 6/7 occurrences, all 110 classic ground units and four early native spawn paths. These pass. Some industrial pieces are deliberately indestructible in the original tables; the exact reported object remains unidentified, so no speculative native collision change was made.

The resumed source suite passes 333 tests with 31 optional checks ignored. The original menu/intro audit passes and completes at 1,891 service ticks. The subsequent independent Lightning review found and fixed attached-effect interpolation and missing mod/script/hook command-error context. All 72 focused API, modding and weapon checks pass after those fixes. The reviewed packages are committed, and the executable and zip have been refreshed and launched.

Root owns menu fixes. iron_coast_5 temporarily owns the ground-target diagnosis; its completed boss candidates and pending equipment review remain preserved.

Earlier HD state and recovery owners

The original picture inventory is 5,753 IDs. The approved handoff has 800 registered frames across 340 complete sequences; 4,953 IDs remain unregistered. Both packaged runtimes have the same immutable 800-frame approved snapshot, with 6,742 original/HD data files and unchanged executable hashes. The assembler's --hd-source selects the private approved input rather than mutable working art. See the current coordinator checkpoint for active worker ownership and later admissions. The table below retains the earlier recovery assignments as historical context. Existing raw candidates are not counted as accepted remasters. Working originals, generated drafts and proof captures remain outside the Git root; the approved runtime snapshot and all authored mod artwork and sound are tracked in Git.
