# Truthtrance: Charity claim commitment
## Upcoming Advanced Charity — 29 October 2026
**Prototyped / Partial.** In a quiet Advanced Storm or Spice Blow window, the
existing Charity question can bind a player's upcoming ordered Charity turn.
The same detached claim or one-payment forecast uses current known resources
without drawing cards, inventing another player's actions or crediting a
pending CHOAM opening. Storm and Spice readiness remain intact; no future
claim or payment is offered as a live action. The answer carries into the
native Charity queue, where the recipient's own turn supplies the existing
claim guide and finish restrictions. A pending interruption does not itself
release an answer.
The FAQ supports current-turn action commitments; the forecast and digital
ordering are provisional. Upcoming income, additional payment routes, broader
combinations and deployed acceptance remain open.

## Live Advanced ordered Charity — 29 October 2026
**Prototyped / Partial.** In a quiet live Advanced Charity phase, a player may
ask whether another player whose unclaimed Charity turn is still in the native
queue will claim. The answer uses the same real claim and one-payment witness
as the Basic prototype, quoted without changing the queue or inventing another
player's actions. A waiting player's guide appears only when their turn begins;
an attainable Yes must be completed before finishing that turn, and No forbids
the claim until that turn closes. A completed turn cannot be reopened. The
existing native claim, payment and cancellation procedures remain authoritative.
This is a provisional digital interpretation of the FAQ's current-turn
commitment, not a Charity-specific publisher ruling. The follow-up above adds
quiet upcoming Advanced windows; broader payment forecasts, pending responses
and other combinations remain open. Native ordered Charity and the original
Basic paths remain unchanged.
## Upcoming Basic Charity — 27 October 2026
**Prototyped / Partial.** The Charity claim question also covers supported quiet
Basic Storm and Spice Blow windows before the current turn's Charity phase.
It asks about a claim after the answer, in that upcoming phase. The FAQ's
current-turn commitment rule supplies the general source; this specific future
quote and interruption policy is a provisional implementation interpretation.
The private quote uses the respondent's known current purse and, where
available, a single legal native ordinary bribe as a route to the later claim.
It does not manufacture future spice, mandatory blow outcomes, CHOAM income or
cancellation, another player's actions, or other undisclosed preparations.
A definite receipt survives the intervening native phase transitions. No remains
binding through the subsequent Charity phase; Yes requires a real eligible claim
while a supported route remains possible. A pending opening or response is not
itself proof that the claim has become impossible: reconcile the real outcome
once the interruption resolves. Voluntary loss of an attainable Yes and an
external loss retain their distinct treatment.
Before Charity opens, the private status explains that the action is upcoming;
it does not offer a simulated future claim or bribe as an immediately legal
control. In the real Charity phase, the existing event- and turn-bound native
bribe/claim guidance, No restriction, Ready and payment rules continue. Other
preparation routes, action combinations needing joint planning, pending-window
compositions and Advanced ordered Charity remain open. This first version does
not certify complete Truthtrance, modes, browser or deployed play.
The earlier-window tests use original Basic sources with actual Storm and
post-Amal Spice Blow continuations, plus a real CHOAM opening; an unopened safe
Spice prefix is selected for the phase-zero case. No wallets or cards are
reassigned. Eleven related files pass 155/155; type/lint and build pass.
Server-rendered controls are covered, not browser or deployed acceptance.

## Live Basic Charity — 27 October 2026
**Prototyped / Partial.** A Truthtrance holder may ask another player whether
that player will claim Charity **after the answer** in the currently open,
concurrent Basic Charity phase. The [GF9 November 2020 FAQ, page 8](https://www.gf9games.com/dune/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/Dune-FAQ-Nov-2020.pdf#page=8)
supports current-turn questions about a player's actions while they remain
possible; it does not provide a Charity-specific worked example. This precise
online binding and release procedure is a provisional interpretation.
The target's answer quote uses the native current claim entitlement and payer,
including the original faction, turn, claim status, funds and any resolved CHOAM
opening. Yes is offered when the native claim is possible now or the player
can make a quoted native ordinary payment to reach eligibility, provided no
earlier live No conflicts. No is available when no earlier live Yes conflicts.
The quote does not invent future funding or unverified preparations beyond the
supported payment route. A player cannot be asked again about a claim already
completed that turn. Unknown answers and conflicting independent action
families requiring a joint future-action planner remain partial.
A definite answer reopens that player's concurrent Basic Ready, if already
marked, without reopening a completed phase. The actual native Charity action
fulfills Yes and pays through the existing rules; Ready cannot voluntarily close
an attainable Yes. No forbids the native claim for the rest of the original
Charity phase, including if a later response reopens Ready. A voluntary action
cannot abandon an attainable Yes; after another player changes the target's
funds, an existing Yes remains binding if the supported ordinary-payment route
still makes the claim possible. A genuinely external change that removes every
supported opportunity releases it, while a No completes at phase close. Pending
responses are not treated as proof of impossibility. Ordinary eligibility,
inflation, payment and the original once-per-turn claim remain authoritative.
The respondent sees their available answers and persistent guidance; a live No
explains why the ordinary claim control is disabled, while an attainable Yes
provides an event- and turn-bound guide to the exact native claim or ordinary
bribe. The payer spends the bribe immediately and the recipient receives it at
Mentat Pause. AI uses the same target-only quote and legal action. Questions and
answers are public as in the existing
Truthtrance history; private receipts and target-only guide are not projected
to other seats. This is a usable first version, not full enforcement of all
Charity questions or a complete implementation of Truthtrance.
The native fixture `tests/fixture-truth-charity-commitment.ts` starts original
Basic classic factions with the selected Ix deck and original Truth cards,
uses genuine Amal and Charity chronology, and makes a real four-spice bribe to
leave the target at one spice. It does not install new wallets, cards, phase or
readiness. A separate external-income test uses a labeled, conserved controlled
transfer before real Ready, bribe and claim actions. Fourteen related files pass
187/187; type/lint and build pass. Server-rendered controls are exercised, but
that is not browser or deployed acceptance.
Other early-phase windows or preparations, later eligibility forecasts,
Advanced ordered Charity, broader overlapping promises,
optional-module and pending-response combinations, full games, browser and
deployed acceptance remain open. No independent joint planner is introduced.
