The Rust Options screen includes **HD art**. It starts disabled. Enable it to use reviewed artwork from the selected data directory's `hd/hd.json`; each missing or rejected frame keeps the selected original / 2x / 3x / 4x crisp treatment. The bundled runtime uses `data/`, while development artwork and review jobs live under `../data/`. The scale setting still determines the indexed rendering resolution, and the HD toggle can be changed while paused. HD art is presentation only: simulation, collision sizes, banking positions and save content IDs stay unchanged.

The development base-game pack currently supplies **929 reviewed replacement frames in 377 complete sequences**. These include all twenty-one light, dark and firing-flash player poses, 223 boss frames, complete vehicle families, ground defenses and opening bunkers, all forty-seven equipment and pickup pictures, projectile and effect animations, eleven HUD picture glyphs, nine pilot portraits, both title logos, three standalone opening cards and 256 canonical terrain tiles. The tracked Linux/Windows playable snapshots contain the separately frozen 800 reviewed frames, copied by the root assembler and committed at `964ba93`. Later development approvals remain separate from this runtime checkpoint. The complete catalog backlog and generation status are listed in [hd-backlog.md](hd-backlog.md).

Every registered frame passed the exact original source hash, logical canvas, aspect, visible alpha and path checks. Complete contact sheets were inspected at source size and the 4× presentation size; per-frame geometry metrics and review evidence remain with each family. Their logical collision sizes are unchanged. Small contours and interpreted metal detail differ. Missing artwork keeps the crisp original fallback. HD remains an opt-in preview while the remaining catalog and game screenshots are reviewed.
An actual Rust `HdAssets::sprite` pass also checked all registered frames at scales 1–4 with the game palette: every output has the expected dimensions and visible pixels, and the pack reports no diagnostics. Complete 4× source/HD sheets from that runtime path were reviewed for readable projectiles, equipment alignment, banking progression and energy-ring timing stages. These sprite checks complement live gameplay captures and do not establish full-game visual completion.
The current 929-frame development snapshot passed 3,716 actual scale checks. All 4,645 original and rendered PPMs are byte-identical to independently accepted references, with both source-age guards clear and the tested immutable library pinned by SHA and original build time. All 846 ordinary sources introduce no reserved palette labels; 80 sources retain legitimate gameplay classes, and the three opening cards use their authentic static palettes. Historical smaller-pack proofs, including the packaged 800-frame snapshot, remain separate.

The current 1,037-frame development snapshot passed 4,148 actual scale checks. All 5,185 original and rendered PPMs are byte-identical to independently accepted references, with both source-age guards clear and the tested immutable library pinned by SHA and original build time. All 952 ordinary sources introduce no reserved palette labels; 82 sources retain legitimate gameplay classes, and the three opening cards use their authentic static palettes. Historical smaller-pack proofs, including the packaged 800-frame snapshot, remain separate.

The 189 additional boss frames passed complete source/1×/4× and native 2×/3× review across 56 full families. Opaque component panels, weapon apertures and source phases remain recognizable; fine material detail and minor contour interpretations are disclosed per family. These gallery decisions do not certify complete assembled-boss joins or native encounter placement. The shortened paired bottom feet in `0x200a2`, lost painted wing/strut cells in `0x30045`, Mole's missing initial blink, selected contracted hulls and the final EBOSS6 white-plate substitution remain held and are excluded.

The six corrected dinosaur poses preserve every native source occupied cell, bound and centroid, including the formerly lost dorsal, belly and tail points. They contain new painted detail at higher scales. The restored `0x10345` fighter retains its fork teeth and lower rails; ten very dark outer corner/foot cells remain an accepted contour interpretation. TANK01 has stable hull landmarks and distinct tread phases; three or four external corner cells per pose round inward at 1× while every source cell retains occupancy at 2×–4×. Minor stationary surface shading variance is disclosed.

The 129-frame development addition has complete independent source/all-scale family review and coordinator inspection of every 42 source/native1/HD4 pages on eight unresampled boards. All 645 current PPMs match those accepted outputs exactly. Set4's next thirty-two tiles were checked with 70 native contexts, 719 joins and 27 states; the isolated 64-tile pack has 21 unique damage pairs with both HD partners and four fallback partners. The sixteen shoreline/fence/rock tiles passed all 83 current boards and 1,960 scale composition cases, with no declared damaged partners. Fine material and original-fallback density differences remain disclosed.

The earlier 129-frame development addition has complete independent source/all-scale family review and coordinator inspection of every 42 source/native1/HD4 pages on eight unresampled boards. All 645 current PPMs match those accepted outputs exactly. Set4's next thirty-two tiles were checked with 70 native contexts, 719 joins and 27 states; the isolated 64-tile pack has 21 unique damage pairs with both HD partners and four fallback partners. |

Power and Impact retain their native phase masks and repaired source arms. Shield's independent actual patterned `Canvas::shade` proof preserves the original world center, deep holes and outside background, and is invariant to occupied mask RGB. Its higher-scale ring edges are smoother and the final 4× mask has 2,303 pixels against 2,304 source-expanded pixels. Smoke's matching mask has no demonstrated visible HD enhancement and remains held because every actual shaded output is byte-identical to its nearest-neighbor original.
MediumAir's matte grain avoids the rejected ivory glints; exact peripheral source-cell losses remain disclosed. The final lower-left yellow cue is visibly stronger than the source, accepted with a 37% fall in complete penultimate-to-final intensity. SmallGround's first four tiny phases have stronger source-cell edge emphasis at higher scales, especially `0x10280`; review accepts their warm solid-core particle appearance, while recording tiny warm/brown losses and two adjacent tail additions. Both complete animation families retain source bounds, negative spaces and phase progression. LargeAir remains held for persistent painted ray and fading-ring losses.
The new nine craft singles retain source arrays, machinery, forks, deck sections and dark hull backing, with precise small contour interpretations in their peer records. The alternate cursor retains all sixteen gold cells, thirty-six near-black cells and the nine-cell central hole, with warmer native gold shading accepted. Repeating texture connectors retain their source macro layout. Buoys retain exact native blink252/253 centers and the source's cyan/water240–244 palette classes; high-scale fringe and downward contour differences are accepted explicitly. BUTTON1–4 retains exact cyan glyph cells and the blank red panel. These are source-bound gallery approvals, without a new custom-menu or live Host reachability claim.
The next 108 development frames were admitted in two exact batches: 50 frames in eight families, then 58 in eleven. The coordinator inspected every 35 complete source/native1/HD4 pages on ten unresampled boards; all 540 source and scaled PPMs match independently accepted references. The complete 1,037-frame rerender also matches every earlier reference. Original fallback detail density, low-scale contours and material interpretations remain documented rather than implied pixel-exactness.
The next radar cohort preserves the authentic nine-cell circular assembly, mast, lower controls and index252 lamp at all four scales. Its 70 native contexts, 709 joins and 17 declared states produce 3,316 current composition checks. Nine damaged radar partners retain original fallback. The following cracked-ground cohort preserves branch routing, source rock counts and positions, and shallow divots. Corrected 40138 excludes the rejected foreign fissure; fine gravel and deeper crack contrast are accepted. Those two ground families declare no state partners, and their twelve unused IDs stay gallery-only.
The four later tank families preserve distinct tread/slat/fork phases and stationary architecture. Every source cell survives at scales3–4; small native/2x contour loss and quantified stationary shading variance are accepted explicitly. The four later craft singles retain hulls, pods, forks and dark backing. One RGB4 upper-post corner in30098 rounds away at native1x and remains at2–4; its252/253 lamps retain exact1/4/9/16 coverage.
The two repaired boss hulls retain their original asymmetric machinery and connected source structure. Boss10310's right disc, curved skirt and feet are continuous; its three remaining4x losses are two RGB4 corners and one isolated painted-gray rim cell(60,46), accepted after actual contour inspection. Boss200a3's y35 bridges and central dark body are fully restored, with remaining outer contour interpretations disclosed. The complete seven-phase EBOSS6 now retains final pale rectangular plates, horizontal central grille, narrow left slats and crossed lower floor pattern. The first six bindings and24 outputs remain unchanged. Fine final grain, rail pitch and frame-width differences are accepted rather than described as byte-stationary. Each former held main is preserved under its SHA before exact sibling promotion.
Orange sparks preserve source warm rays, separated fragments and brown fade. Stronger outlined cell edges in101ab/ad remain sparks at their actual presentation size; adjacent additions and three faint alpha16/17/19 crop specks in101a8 are accepted disclosures, with all meaningful alpha32 artwork retained. Difficulty portraits retain defining faces, glasses, visor, cigar and skull. Warmer painting and a shallow same-region helmet-tab interpretation are accepted, without an exact-hardware claim. TEXTURE10018 and both side trims retain authentic connectors, opposing rails and eight readable burgundy slots through repeated contexts. Stronger grain/edge contrast and threshold-sensitive brown highlights are accepted visual shading, without an exact red-RGB or zero-seam guarantee.
LargeAir's newer v9 still remains held: repaired first/late pairs improve the earlier missing rays and rims, but middle101eb loses a connected seven-cell inner lip and101ec loses its five-cell upper shoulder, visibly changing source structure. Terrain10406 also remains held for interpreting organic ground as rigid rectangular slabs. Neither technical decoding nor opaque coverage admits those drafts.

All 846 ordinary source pictures introduce no reserved 240–255 labels. 80 source-class pictures retain authentic gameplay palette classes. Three opening cards use their original static 256-color palettes. Sprite/class checks are scoped to exact source/native rendering and do not infer a whole mission, custom-menu route, complete assembled boss or new destroyed partner.

All 952 ordinary source pictures introduce no reserved240–255 labels. 82 source-class pictures retain authentic gameplay classes; three opening cards use their original static256-color palettes. Exact native/source loading does not establish whole-mission completion, custom-menu reachability, complete assembled-boss joins or new destroyed artwork.

The admission journal `batch-929-approval.json` binds **129 additional frames / 22 complete families**, every candidate and peer report, all 645 accepted PPM matches and all 42 complete source/native1/HD4 pages inspected on eight unresampled boards. Families include Set4 structures 400f5–40114, terrain103f0–103ff, Power/Impact/Shield/DeathRayPower, MediumAir 13, SmallGround 35, BUTTON 4, buoy 2, cursor 50019, repeating texture 10019, eight fine-metal craft and EAGLE 30073. Exact material/contour caveats remain in peer and coordinator records. No sibling promotion was needed in this batch.
After the historical929 checkpoint, batch-979-approval.json adds **50 frames / eight complete families**, with250 exact accepted PPMs and15 complete coordinator-inspected source/native1/HD4 pages on four boards. The batch contains radar40115–40134/32, four tread/slat/fork families15, TEXTURE10018 and side trims50005/50006. batch-1037-approval.json adds **58 frames / eleven complete families**, with290 exact accepted PPMs and20 complete inspected pages on six boards: Orange9, difficulty4, craft3008f/92/95/98, ground40135–40154/32, restored10310/200a3 and complete400ac–400b2/7. Every candidate, binding, source, peer evidence, raw and current output is bound. The former held boss mains are SHA-named snapshots before exact sibling-byte promotion; all rejected versions remain unchanged.

Set4 next32 has 70 native contexts / 719 joins / 27 states and 3,392 actual composition checks. Its isolated 64 pack includes 21 unique both-HD damage pairs and four original fallback partners. Terrain 103f0 has 442 pairs / 48 real scenes, 1,960 cases / all 83 boards and no state partners. MediumAir's final local yellow lift is accepted with complete fade intensity falling 37%; tiny peripheral painted-cell losses stay disclosed. SmallGround's first four cell-edge outlines remain warm particle material, with exact warm/brown losses and two adjacent tail additions accepted. Shield has actual patterned shader proof, transparent world centers and occupied-RGB invariance; it adds no foreground paint or live timing assertion. Buoys use cyan/water 240–244 plus blink 252/253, with exact native centers and accepted higher-scale contour differences.
The radar's nine-cell native object, mast, controls and252 lamp remain source-aligned. Its70 contexts/709 pairs/17 states produce3,316 current compositions; nine radar damage partners stay original fallback. The next two ground shards preserve source crack branches, rock positions and shallow divots through36 contexts/121 pairs and756 compositions; twelve unused IDs remain gallery-only and there are no state partners. Fine soil density/contrast remains visible against original fallback.

## Frozen packaged800 history
Tank phases, forks and stationary architecture retain source identity with exact3–4x occupied-source coverage. Quantified minor shading variance and lower-scale contour smoothing are accepted. New30098 has one missing nativeRGB4 post corner, restored2–4, with both252/253 labels exactly1/4/9/16. Difficulty portraits retain defining faces and framing; warmer painting and the helmet's central pale mark interpreted as a restrained shallow tab with dark underside are accepted, not described as unchanged hardware. Texture repeats preserve connector and slot topology, while stronger edge contrast and burgundy threshold sensitivity remain explicit.
The historical full800 proof remains untouched at `runtime-800-current/combined-review.json`, with 3,200 scales / 4,000 accepted PPMs and immutable library `f71826f4eec106d59a55c12380ee1437a3cfeddf6f9d145480624ff5e5b8eaa5`. Root's later test-only native capture fixes did not alter the production renderer, loader, compositor or shaders. The historical proof is not retroactively associated with a newer library.
Boss10310 preserves the right disc, skirt and feet, accepting two RGB4 corners plus isolated gray rim(60,46) lost4x. Boss200a3's y35 bridges and central dark structure are restored allscales, with17 outer contour losses2–4 and small right expansion accepted. EBOSS6 retains the final two pale plates and stationary horizontal central grille/crossed lower floor; the firstsix bindings/24 outputs remain exact. Final grain/pitch/frame-width differences are accepted, not byte-stationary. These are complete-family gallery decisions with no whole-boss live assembly claim.

Root copied and independently verified every file into tracked runtime data: 6,742 files / 461,771,350 bytes. Linux and Windows packages, relocated launchers, catalog, HD, all 22 mods and actual SDL/audio checks passed. Later 129 development registrations do not change this frozen packaged snapshot.
Orange9 retains warm ray/fragment/fade character despite stronger4x cell-edge outlines and small adjacent additions. Three alpha16/17/19 exterior specks in101a8 are excluded, while meaningful alpha32 contour pixels are retained. Original alpha, source masks and raw RGB evidence stay distinct. Smoke4 remains held because every actual shaded output equals original nearest-neighbor output, so no visible HD improvement is established.
Earlier admission journals and sibling promotion histories remain intact, including DINO 6, SHIP 40 and corrected 30044. All old held mains/raws and prepared-but-unsubmitted SHIP 40v5 remain preserved. Metadata-only transparent-background corrections keep actual attempts, request/prompt authority, SHA-named old bytes and unchanged raw/candidate bindings. Cursor's missing historical request JSON remains explicit; no retrospective record was invented. Buoy center and cyan/water wording corrections similarly retain before-byte histories. BUTTON's separate four-flag correction was independently verified before admission.

## Durable owners and later work
The separate historical runtime-800-current/combined-review.json remains unchanged:3,200 scales/4,000 accepted PPMs using immutablef71826f4eec106d59a55c12380ee1437a3cfeddf6f9d145480624ff5e5b8eaa5. Historical929 and979 closures remain separate and are not retroactively associated with a newer library. Root's later test-only terrain capture fixes did not alter the production desktop prefix, loader, compositor or shaders.
Coordinator alone edits external development manifest/provenance/audit/ledger. Queue refresh removes registered jobs, so all owners and reviewers follow original durable job IDs rather than live offsets. Artists never register their own work. Git checkpoints stage only owned paths; `docs/hd-full-review.md` belongs to its reviewer.

- Root owns runtime assembly/platform code and deferred straight-alpha resampling, source-class alpha-anchor and encoder-rounding policy. No such loader policy changed during 929 closure. Any future actual-pixel change requires a new controlled comparison, preserving 800 / 929 history. HANGP 1010b (1619×971) remains held by strict aspect policy; no clipping, stretching or artist color compensation.
- `hd_full_review` approved four later tank families / 15 frames, still awaiting coordinator fresh closure. It exclusively reviews terrain 10400–1040f (16 frames) with 531 pairs / 46 real scenes and original damaged partners retained as fallback. Its scoped own-doc commit is `c386550`.
- `iron_coast_2` independently approved radar jobs 40115–40134 (32 frames), with exact 9-cell radar/native 252 lamp proof. It now reviews ORIGINAL jobs 7/8, 40135–40154. Nine radar damaged partners retain original fallback; no whole-map or new liveHost claim.
- `iron_coast_5` approved TEXTURE 10018 and side textures 50005/50006, still separate from929. Repeated contexts/connectors and exact seam crops were inspected; stronger highlights and burgundy threshold sensitivity are accepted disclosures. It now exclusively reviews difficulty portraits 1001a–1001d (4 frames).
- `windows_persistence` held LargeAir 12 v6 for authentic painted ray/arc and fading-ring cells absent at all/higher scales. The48-in-64 original viewport/alpha32 retention passes technically. SHIP35 v3 remains held for 55 occupied losses and both bottom feet. It now reviews new enemy singles 3008f/30092/30095/30098.
- `terrain_capture_fixture` exclusively reviews iron3's 10310 v4,200a3 v4 and seven-frame 400ac v3 siblings / 9 frames. The former right-disc/skirt, lower bridge and stationary grille/floor holds require different-peer art judgment. Its source-unchanged rounding proposal is future-scoped. Native destroyed/unused fixture fixes have exact selected-source proof and add no blanket artwork approval.
- `iron_coast_3` preserves those three frozen siblings and every failed variant. Atlas 300a8–ab v6 remains held for painted side-strip loss and partial source-class coverage. Approved 30044 stays frozen; 300a0 / 200ba palette-alpha remedies remain root-owned.
- `iron_coast_6` independently approved MediumAir 13/SmallGround 35 and the admitted enemy singles. It now exclusively reviews OrangeSparks 9 v3. Terrain children retain original middle 5–36 and late 37–68 scopes; numerous full proposals have geometry/material/fallback holds and exact immutable galleries, not automatic coverage.
- `hd_dark_player` continues original UI scope, preserving admitted files. Difficulty 4 and side 2 are frozen for peer review/closure. Original HANGP rounding hold remains untouched; no specific classic-control reachability through custom Rust menus is inferred.
- `hd_enemies_01` continues original disjoint production, preserving admitted nine craft singles and later approved tank 15. Source-cell/phase/cue holds remain explicit for damaged craft, troop poses and earlier outlines. APE refusal evidence is preserved without automatic retry.
- `campaign_integration` continues disjoint source-driven effects. Orange 9 is reserved to iron6. LargeAir corrections must be separate siblings bound to exact missing painted cells; accepted/held raws and viewport history stay frozen. Smoke 4 has no demonstrated visible HD enhancement because actual shade outputs equal original nearest-neighbor outputs. Ground gold/alpha holds, Flare source-hole/material and remaining geometry failures stay held.
- Terrain1 registered 112 tiles; 10400 peer review and bridge 103d5/6 row/material holds remain separate. Its14-target partial family stays complete=false. Terrain2 registered 48 and retains post-array footprint, water/soil density and coarse-mosaic/semantic holds. Terrain3 registered 32; invented beams, rim/material and burn-grain transitions remain held. Terrain4 registered 64; radar32 is independently approved later, while industrial compound material and mixed-fallback grain limits remain disclosed.

Both archiveCRC/data/runtime/source/doc checks passed. No further packaged art changes are authorized by this development metadata checkpoint.
At least 50 further independently approved frames remain separate from 929: radar 32, tank 15, TEXTURE 10018 and side 2. Every later admission still requires current exact references, coordinator complete family inspection and registration. No later files are packaged by this checkpoint.
Metadata-only provenance corrections preserve before-byte snapshots and exact actual attempt/request/prompt authority. All raw/candidate/source/render bindings stay unchanged. Cursor's absent historical request JSON remains disclosed; no retrospective request history was invented. Buoy center252/253 and cyan/water240–244 wording corrections likewise retain prior bytes. BUTTON's four corrected transparency flags were independently verified.
Generation uses four shared submissions with inspected source/saved prompts, acquire→successful start→built-in await→classify/report/release in one execution before QA. Unknown cells are reconciled before retries. Continue remaining original catalog without a full-HD completion claim.

## Durable owners and outstanding holds
Coordinator alone registers external development art and refreshes audit/ledger. Queue offsets change after admission; use original durable job IDs. Artists never approve/register their own artwork. Commit only owned paths; docs/hd-full-review.md remains reviewer-owned. Root alone assembles tracked runtime and controls future loader/alpha/shader/encoder policy. No such production policy changed during1037 closure.
- hd_full_review exclusively reviews terrain10400–1040f. Its current10406 organic-ground-as-rectangular-slabs material hold is concrete; no complete16 approval. Other current contexts are still under full inspection. Raw/candidate remain frozen until the review completes.
- iron_coast_2 has independently approved original Set4 jobs1–8/128frames and now reviews original jobs9/10,40155–40174. Additional lower foliage cells40179/7a may appear only in a separately pinned complete-object diagnostic, without admission; the160 reviewed pack retains original fallback there.
- iron_coast_5 now independently reviews iron6's original Terrain3 shards3/4,3010d–3012c/32. Earlier joined64 state diagnostics complement individual exhaustive proof without certifying complete combined seams. Specific gray-remnant/bright-rubble material concerns require artistic judgment.
- windows_persistence holds exact LargeAirv9 for unchanged101eb's connected seven-cell inner lip and101ec's five-cell upper shoulder, with30/14 whole cells absent4x. The newly repairedfirst2/late2 phases are improved/accepted with minor edge caveats, but do not override the full-family hold. Its new exclusive singles are300ac/3009d/4006e, especially opaque internal gray/warm-center fidelity.
- terrain_capture_fixture completed the nine-frame boss sibling decisions and root's read-only rounding investigation. Its source-class/shader/scene probes do not imply blanket art or live encounter approval.
- iron_coast_3 preserves accepted10310v4/200a3v4/400acv3 plus every failed version. Atlas300a8–abv6 remains held for connected painted side-strip loss and partial source-class coverage.300a0/200ba palette-alpha issues stay root-owned.
- iron_coast_6's effects and independent enemy decisions remain bound. Its authored Terrain3 early shards3/4 stay frozen for another reviewer. Children retain original middle5–36 and late37–68 production: large held cohorts have current exact galleries, while physical soil grain, gray/char relief, invented beams/rims and mixed-fallback material concerns remain unapproved.
- campaign_integration preserves admitted Orange9 and earlier complete effects. Separate genuine LargeAir corrections may target only101eb/101ec's exact lost connected structures, retaining the other ten bindings. Flare holes/material, Ground gold/alpha and other contour holds remain explicit; no artist color compensation for loader behavior.
- hd_enemies_01 preserves admitted tanks and singles;300ac/3009d/4006e are frozen for exclusive review,40088 separately unassigned. Multipart IOTARG/DMOON production remains author-only. Damaged craft backing/cues, troop poses and APE refusal remain held.
- hd_dark_player continues the complete23-icon family102e1–102f7; partial single-icon probes are not coverage. HANGP1010b opaque1619x971 remains held by exact-aspect policy pending a separate controlled root decision. No classic-menu route is inferred through current custom Rust menus.
- Terrain1 has112 registered tiles;10400 review,10410 partial production and bridge103d5/6 row/gap/material holds are separate. Terrain2 has48 registered and many complete proposals with post-array/cap/gray machinery, water/ground density and coarse-grid holds. Its202fd–2030c unequal-panel retry stays unbound rather than distorted. Terrain3 has32 registered. Terrain4 has128 registered; later industrial compound/fallback-grain limits remain disclosed.
The original catalog remains incomplete. Continue source-driven production and independent review, then perform exact current output continuity, complete family coordinator inspection and registration for each later batch. No later candidate is packaged or admitted merely because it decodes.
